Just like Bill Cosby's TV show "kids say the darnedest things" so do Liberals.

Take this quote from a Liberal for example:
The interesting thing about supposedly great right wing thinkers, is they spend all of their efforts to destroy safety nets for the less fortunate, ie welfare, health insurance, but never ever mention or care about corporate welfare which is sucking the marrow out of this country. It is easy for a weak person like yourself to attack people without power, but do not have the balls or backbone to call out the right wing greedy powers that support you.

How do you respond to some one like that? according to Christopher Chantrill, you cant.

In a recent article of his, he talks about how political talking points do not attempt to communicate but rather to dominate. We need to start to open a line of communication if we are going to get anything done in this country.

Cant we all just get along?

Can you demonstrate that the statement is inaccurate? I don't recall any right winger criticizing corporate welfare, much less legislating against it, unless the beneficiary is connected with the opposing political party. A classic example is the recent vote to cut food stamps while keeping farm subsidies fully funded.

From 1957. Giving credit where its due.

America's safety nets were destroyed by globalist liberals importing 40 million Mexicans to the United States.

Does that response work for you?

That is incredibly degrading to those people, many of which have left everything behind just to find a better life here in America.

I'm sure you are familiar with an expert, but we should all take the time to read this.

"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

I do not speak of you specifically, but many people preach the American dream while denying those who originally sought it out.

It's true. As long as you support corporate welfare (and there is massive corporate welfare going on right now, both in the form of direct corporate subsidies and insidious, indirect forms of corporate welfare like limited liability) you really have no business complaining about welfare for human beings.

Welfare for poor people is much easier to morally justify than welfare for corporations. I is crazy that anybody can claim to support the free market yet at the same time vote Republican, the party of Big Corporate Welfare.

Maybe you are in a leftist echo chamber. I hear a constant outcry by the right against crony capitalism... Beck, Levin, Hannity, Limbaugh, Prager ...

The right didn't criticize the Wall St. bailouts, or the auto bailouts, Solyndra, GE, or subsidizing health insurance companies?

And yet everyone of those people were going to vote for Romney who was into crony capitalism. They were only against LEFTIST crony capitalism, when the right does it that's ok to keep voting for.

I thought that was Reagan
