Humiliated Republicans Lash Out at Each Other

I called my Repub Congressman's office and gave him a pass on tonight's vote since he has a TEAturd primary..I have voted for him in the past because the Dem. was not ready for prime-time and I will work and donate in his primary..This TEAt is a younger version of who Kinzinger had to beat in his last primary, Manzullo, when Illinois Dems lopped two sitting Repub congressman into the same CD.

81-18 in the senate on the reopening of govt and the debt ceiling.

Still hoping to win and destroy the US economy. Ah, tea party nihilism!

You actually beleive that, don't you? Do you know how utterly stupid that sounds?

I doubt a lot of businesses and furloughed employees will forget a year from now since it's going to take months for them to recover lost revenue,

don't include furloughed workers in the category of those who lost revenue... they get 2 weeks of pay, for not working.

beings that the vast majority of federal workers live in Democratic districts, it won't matter much, they will continue to vote for Democrats.
for most of us out the in the real world, this whole shutdown business will be forgotten pretty quickly.... some other event will take it's place as the worst thing to ever happen in history.

I suspect that a lot of tea partiers are going to be mumbling stuff like this as they approach their electoral extinction next year.

are you actually being that willfully ignorant to believe democrats will gain the control of the house even left wing publications says it is highly unlikely
only ones that need to be concerned about losing anything is the democrats with the senate and the are ****ting all over them selves hoping Obama care isn't the train wreck that it has already showed it is

like Obama care

nah, Obamacare is the best thing to come along since sex.. just ask any Democrat , progressive, or liberal.

after Dems just showed us that Obamacare is more important than any other issue in this nation, including our credit rating and economy...., it damned well better be

I think Obama and the Senate Democrats stood their ground and defended an extremely important principle: not allowing a minority of extremists who can't get what they want by legislation to hold the US economy hostage for their political gain.

That's an important victory for democracy and orderly governance, and I applaud the Democrats for defeating the GOP lunatics despite all the heat they took from the rightwing noise machine.

It's too bad you don't seem to see how important it was to prevent this kind of blackmail from succeeding. If it had, every party could use it whenever they couldn't get what the wanted by legitimate means. So the stance you're taking -- that they are all partisan hacks -- is both false and fails to see what's at stake. It's also pretty vapid -- a posture that's supposed to indicate coolness or something.

I think there's a big difference between a party that threatens to drive the US government into default and one that stood up for principle in stopping them. If you can't see the difference, that's sad.

Democrats didn't stand up for principle... they stood up for Obamacare.

stop spinning tall tales.

those furloughed employees where all democrats to begin with

Hardly. The states that got hit the worst from the shut down were red states.

What I don't understand is why they love Obamacare when it has real problems. It isn't a partisan thing... but they only care that they won even though it is with a broken program. It is ****ing pathetic.

I would pay to give the House Republicans boxing gloves and just see them duke it out LIVE tonite..
After all, they did make us look like a banana Republic-an.

80% of federal employees are registered democrats

only one poll showed republicans where taking the majority of the blame and the only reason is because they asked who was to blame republicans or Obama not democrats the ones who asked who was to blame republicans or democrats they came in as a statistical tie with in the margin of error
John McCain just came on TV and noted that republican approval numbers are at an all time record low 24%
...but yeah keep deluding yourself with that "one poll" thing:lamo

No spin ...
... the principal that all Americans should be able to afford health care

that's not a principle that is a fantasy that not even close being in the realm of reality. Nations are going bankrupt or have sub par health care trying to fulfill that fantasy

LOL, it is anticipated more republicans will vote against it than for it. This will pass because of the democratic votes.

Cruz dug a moat around himself and declared himself king of loser island. Meanwhile the grownups in the party just waited for the kooks to flame out.

they usually get a reimbursement for the furloughed time
