Are you a liberal?

I got a 14.

There were several questions where the 'Yes' answer only partially reflected my position, while the 'no' sometimes did the same.

I'm guess I'm a Moderate Liberal.

I was not surpirsed. I scored a 2, answering agree to only questions #5 and #14. Some questions seemed to be posed such that agreement is nearly impossible, e.g. men wearing womens' clothing to work not be grounds for termination, try that in the army and see what happens, or even wearing only a bra and panties in a civilian job.

I would imagine that Prager U credits are transferable to Glen Beck U, but at a $300/credit hour fee. ;)

First good laugh of the day. Well played sir.

Terrible set of questions done by some one who is ****ing clueless about liberals(and conservatives probably).

This bears repeating.

That stupid test has me thinking though. How would you design a test to determine isf some one is a liberal or conservative. My first thought was a question like this:

"For any given problem with the country, the most likely best solution is:
A) Goverment intervention
B) Government deregulation."

Might make a thread on making a test later when I am awake. That question has it's problems, but I think that is the right direction to go.

For me the answer is, not enough information, depends on the problem and set of solutions available, to solve said problem.

That question seems to be out of the same bag as those in the questionnaire. You think those two options really cover all possible reactions when presented with a problem? How about, "Put together a public-private initiative to tackle the problem"? Or, "Engage in broad consultation to come up with a concensus approach to the problem"?

Are You A Liberal?
Are you really a liberal? Or do you just think you are?
To find out, answer these 21 questions and then click the "Submit" button on the bottom of the screen.*
*Since we are asking the question "Are You a Liberal?" whenever you answer "Agree" to a question, you score one point. The more liberal you are, the more points you score. The more conservative you are, the fewer points you score.

I guess according to that person's definition, I'm a conservative.

If you've read many of my posts, you may disagree.

That's OK. The terms "liberal" and "conservative" are pretty much meaningless anyway.

Why did they need my name and email? When they ask that, my spammer detector starts to go off. I didn't give my real one, did you?

That is one of the problems with that question, yes.

Nowhere did I claim it covered every option. The idea was that where I see the basic difference in liberal vs conservative ideology was how they view government's role. I also freely admitted the question had problems. Not sure why that went so far over your head...

There were a few questions I answered no to that I would otherwise have answered yes to but for the aside part "because......" and then like the any two people should be able to marry question--I don't think parents and children should be able to marry, but that does not mean I oppose other groups being able to marry.
