Thread: Are you proud of this level of discourse??

Wasn't it the left-leaners in the media who went around screaming for a change in dialogue following the Tucson shooting and Palin's "Crosshairs" campaign mapping? If these tweets are legitimate I'd expect some level of backlash from the public.

I'm guessing that many of those people will soon be receiving knocks on their doors from law enforcement agents.

LOL - it should read "angry immature teeny butts flock to twatter to annonymously shout out death threats over something stupid -only it's not completely annonymous"

I hardly think that is what qualifies someone to be a 'liberal'

I wasn't trying to imply this was a liberal tendency. More that it was the left in the media who had a stroke fest over "violent rhetoric"....and yet I see very little from the left in the media about blatant threats posted for millions to see online.

Those are all just from conservatives trying to make liberals look bad. LOL

There's one major difference that has to be noted. The violent rhetoric that the left (and many of us who are not on the left) are bothered by is coming from professional political pundits and politicians, whereas these tweets are coming from morons with a twitter account.

I see that difference. I just don't think it matters much whether it's coming from Palin in a commentary piece or @AssHat91 on twitter. If you're going to call for it to stop, I think the standard should be universal.

Proud moment for these people's parents.

I haven't been watching the news - but I'm glad they quit that. . . that was the single most annoying bull**** like *ever* - compulsive appologizing for every little comment, idiom, metaphore or phrase that was ever said or aired over tv which might be possibly skewed to be tinged with a slight shred of violence to the wrong person on a drunk night.

If they're not doing that anymore; thank ****ing god.

But the cops only investigate - and people should only be concerned about - SERIOUS death threats . . . some random yappy bs on the net isn't what I'd necessarily constitute as serious.
