Why do conservatives hate the President?

They dont hate him, they are afraid of him... fear he will raise taxs and take away all their tax breaks that allow them to pay next to nothing anddo things that will make the rich and corporations a little less richer and more accountable.....its really an all about us thing more than hatred.

an example of the lies that i mentioned. How is it that the top one percent make 22% of the income but pay almost 40% of the income tax burden when people like you claim that the rich are able to pay next to nothing. Either you are a liar or the IRS and other government agencies are lying

which one is it?

we despise his policies because they are based on bogus claims, outright lies and class envy. We despise the fact that he is incompetent, had not proven himself fit to lead when he ran and has not demonstrated any growth while in office

we loathe his toadies who claim that the opposition to his administration is based on "racism" or fox news rather than on the correct reasons of his incompetence and his idiotic policies

So in a nutshell:

OUCK FBAMA!!!

Well, clearly there's no reason to even debate it at this point because if a conservative disagrees with you...then you're just lying and refuse to admit it...and if they agree with you then they're just admitting to being racist. What a convienent argument you have, what with the whole "reading peoples minds and being able to deem what their true intent is", as it just assures that no matter what someone says it comes down to "hey, they're racist"

Here, lets use your wonderous debate tactic. It's obvious liberals just like Obama simply because he's black. Sure, some may like him for other reasons, but 50% of them obviously just like him just because he's african american, including those on this board. This is a major part of why they like him, if they admit as much or not.

Honestly, you probably aren't to far off with the whole a lot of liberals liking him just because he is black. Obviously the #1 reason most black people voted for him is because he is black. I think with Obama, people were so tired of Bush that something that appeared to them to be the total polar opposite was the most appealing. If you told most people what his name was 10 years ago and asked them to guess how he is important they likely would have said terrorist. That is how polar opposite he is.

With that said, no I probably could never actually get the people in here that likely got a problem with him being black to admit it. Living in Kentucky however, I know a couple of dozen people that when it boils down to it, don't like a black guy running the show. I'm sure the further south you go the more answers like that you get.

Honestly sometimes I wonder if we were in a bizzaro world where his name was Barry Harold Owen and he was totally white with like a black 2nd cousin or something, how much different he would be received.

I agree "it is cliche to come up with that answer and it sounds like an excuse to many conservatives.

Until you have that "50% say because he is black unbiased survey in hand, you know what you're talking out of don't you?

See my above post. I am not basing this off of some horse **** television show, being a liberal living in their parents house out in New York or something, I am saying this as a normal guy with common sense that has a family and sees and hears it himself.

For over over 4 years now, since the President started campaigning, I have heard any number of contortions, flip flops and outright lies from conservatives. I have come to the conclusion that the only logical, reasoned explanation for this is illogical unreasonable hatred. So I ask the following question.

Why do conservatives harbor such a hatred for the President?

I have my own ideas on this but thought it would be nice to hear other opinions.
It isn't just Obama, mind you; I can't stomach most politicians.

Because of he is not able to provide public needs.

Is there racism in the country, yes. Is it the reason I think President Obama is inept, inexperienced, and hasn't the chops to be president, no.

I resent every Libby, who tries to sell this "Obama is a great president" swill and when someone doesn't sign on to their opinion, they drag out the "racist" chestnut.

Why do conservatives harbor such a hatred for the President?

Because he's not white.

It's the same thing as it was with Clinton -- they could not accept an American white trash from Arkansas was President and he was not a racist as they were expecting an American president to be. As the Bushes where.

Health care reform? You are joking right?

You have to keep in mind that Adam is always known for spouting lies and/or false facts on other threads such as Obama's auto bailouts saved MILLIONS and MILLIONS of jobs or that the effect of the stimulous caused 23 consecutive months of job growth.

How Can you say he is a good president ?

What he don for American's ?

Is this what's it come to for the Libbys? You take this sentence that I posted - "I resent every Libby, who tries to sell this "Obama is a great president" swill and when someone doesn't sign on to their opinion, they drag out the "racist" chestnut. - and cut and paste?

You're a real piece of . . . . . work or something else? I guess this is the way the Libbys operate now.

I think this entire thread is based on your strawman. I've never seen a conservative say "I hate Obama." I have, however, seen many say "I hate everything he stands for and everything he does.

I know its hard to understand, but those two things are vastly different. I don't hate him personally, I just think he's the worst president this country has seen in decades, many decades.
Got it, you seem to agree with the "hate everything he does and stands for", which doesn't leave much of anything else, but you don't hate his person.

Makes perfect sense.

Almost as much sense as your avatar.

exactly however I personally hated Carter. If you were on an Olympic team or trained with those who did for the 1980 games you would too. Carter is a POS IMHO. Obama is a lousy president and dishonest. But I don't despise him as a human
You hated Carter for his boycott of the Soviet Olympics, but you don't hate Obama to the same degree....because the things he has done have not been as hurtful as a boycott of the Olympics?

Don't be dense. This is politics. Politics is about winning. Some of the same people you see spouting "hate" about the president could probably still sit down and have a beer with him. It isn't all hate but we have obviously some genuine hate from the political left and right for the oppositions leaders. So what? This is pretty normal stuff. We can use sports as an analogy especially a sport like football. It is a good motivating factor to work up some hate for your opponent. "They have something I want, the don't like me and will do anything to get it from me, they are the enemy." You have to get your base fired up. Showing anger for what the opponent does or stands for and accentuating the negative gets them riled up and ready to vote. Politics is an ugly thing to watch these days especially. When it come to the Dems and Republicans, Liberal and Conservative, there is no moral high ground from which to speak. Your indignation is either fake, or you are very naive.
