Media policy claims Scott Brown(R-MA) will win in landslide

Yes, apparently you failed to read the rest of my post about mid-terms and by-elections. My post was relevant to the topic at hand. How is discussing the importance of mid-terms and by-elections compared to general elections (when people were discussing how this is a response to Obama) not on topic?
I failed at nothing. Your whole post had nothing to do with what I said.

R voters are more likely to turn out than D votes, but there are a ****load more D voters than R voters.

It would be astonishing if Brown pulled it off, but I wouldn't put money on it.

edit: If you want to put money on it, go to intrade:

I cannot believe it's that close on there. That's a bit nuts.

And Independents are half the elctorate which are heavily aiming towards Brown's direction.

And plus, he'll probably get 17% democrats and she 6% Republicans based on polling. Atleast Rasmussen.

And one thing thay all have in common is that Brown supporters are more energize to vote.

Well when she goes and says there is no Talibanin Afghanistan, she loses her preordained seat.

When she claims Curt Schilling is Yankee fan, for better or worse, she digs an even bigger hole.

With all the acrimonious chatter over this Health reform bill, I have to ask myself, what if anything did the GOP do in the years 2000 to 2008 to reform the system so as to make it more workable financially in ensuing years.

I can accept the fact that when Medicare was originally brought into being its finances were ring fenced so as to prevent them being 'loaned' into the general expenditure of the US.

It might be of interest to discover who removed that ring fencing?

Do you have a link for any of this?

This could be the starting of the end for Obama and his socialist party......To win that seat is huge...Three months ago Brown was 20 points down....This could be the beginning of another New Gingrich era......How sweet it is...........
The Left will say it was a fluke.

Scott Brown ain't no teabagger. He's a rich ass elitest who actually said he would not filibuster. So...no, sorry, it still gets passed.

Yea, some teabagger man.

Not true. Brown has repeatedly said that he would be the 41st vote against the health care plan. That works for me. But what else works for me is that Brown seems to be more of a Reagan Republican (remember those?) than most Republicans today. That would get my vote too, if I lived in Massachusetts.

The left is shaking in their boots my friend......Just think, the last time a Conservative held that seat was 1952 when Henry Cabot Lodge had it........Unbelieveable.....This is just not any seat.........This is the most liberal seat in this country..........

This contradicts his background.

**** I'll take a stab at a prediction - Coakley Wins by 51.2 :( I truly hope to be wrong here however there is just too much of a registration edge and Obama's visit just might have made a difference. He knows White Liberals. He might not understand Economics or History fully but knowing what White Educated Wine & Cheese Liberals want to hear is rather easy for him.

Did you know that half the voters in Mass. are Independents and they favor Brown by 70%?...That might make you feel a little better...:2wave:

Another state and I might agree with you but not Mass...If we can win there it would be the biggest upset in the last 50 years..........

If ACORN does not stuff the ballot with phoney votes then Brown will win.....If the election is close and they start finding ballots in the trash can or dead people votes like they did in the governors race here in Washington then Brown might be in trouble...........

The lesson is never trust the left in and election........

Ed Schultz a bastion of the left proves that when he said If it takes cheating to win do it....

******* I think a lot of these Independant people there are culturally Liberal. They Vote Democrat but use the term Independant rather too easily . I doubt they shift our way to that extent (???)
