Real reason McCain chose Palin
The guy I heard this from can't remember where he heard it, and it was probably meant as a joke, but I am not so sure...
It was in response to Obama choosing Biden, McCain wanted the fight to be fair so he chose a running mate that could match wits on an even par with Biden....

The reason why McCain chose Palin to me, was because when Hilary Clinton didn't get the Dem nomination for Pres, he was hoping to capitalize with a woman VP that was a conservative.
That doesn't mean McCain was a bad person for it, he was trying to capitalize like any politician on a situation at hand. I actually thought it was a good move at the time for him. |
