Scared?? I don't think so.

The left loves her! She helped win the election for Obama. Most moderates and swing voters stopped giving McCain a serious look when she started opening her mouth. Dems will register as Republicans just to vote for her in state primaries in 2012.

It is centrists and moderates that are freaked out by how infatuated the far-right base is with her.

How many more stupid things does this broad have to do before we can move on and focus on a real candidates for 2012?

Hell, it's 3 years off, why am I even talking about this.

Re: Real reason McCain chose Palin

Palin was a great choice. She obviously swallowed all of Bush's fearmongering BS hook line and sinker. She, like everybody else, could see that being a female wasn't going to help her one bit as she and the Repubican party was praying for. She had no problem with rolling out the same Ol fearmongering crap that Bush and Cheney used but people were obviously tired of that same old line. She did a poor job at speaking, she did a poor job at connecting with anybody but the Wacko base of the party.
She avoided answering direct questions and has whined constantly since McCain led her out at the Republican National Funeral. She did a poor job at making sense.
She has proven to the nation and the world that she is a loon and should be nowhere near a national office but I sure hope the Republicans are dumb enough to run her again.
She was the pretty face that the Right needed to recharge and revive and campaign that had two feet in the grave. Prior to Palin, McCain could barely draw a crowd. She was a pretty face who could and would mindlessly spew McCain and Bush's and Cheney's pathetic fearmongering lies like a lipstick splattered robot drone.

Re: Real reason McCain chose Palin

It's very simple. She was a female conservative, and his campaign erroneously figured something that superficial would win over voters. Unfortunately, she was not vetted enough to make sure she wasn't an idiot. Another problem was she was not moderate enough, so they alienated the moderates who decide the elections.

Such attacks endeared Obama to Democrats and they endear Palin to Republicans. As some point people stop listening to the attacks accurate or not.
No seriously. Palin was way out of her league on the national scene. Biden aside, she was seriously uninformed on international events in particular, as interviews of her revealed.

If it was me, I'd rather elect what you guys seem to think as a stupid candidate for VP, rather then a stupid LIAR for VP.

I think all of you are supporting Biden because you like Obama and don't want to see his bad decision go down the hole.
Misspeaking a lot means he's not a very good speaker more than anything, which is an odd fault for a politician. Kind of like it's odd how somebody with a speech impediment like Barney Frank can be elected.

McCain lied a lot about Obama, but that doesn't make McCain stupid except in the sense that he should have known it would politically backfire. The only way the GOP had a chance, if they had a chance, in the last election was to offer a clear and rational alternative, not engage in bashing of the charismatic minority candidate.

For this lefty, I am incredulous how anyone could think she was worthy of holding the highest or second highest position in government. INCREDULOUS. (*Reminds self that Bush was re-elected in 2004*)

He wasn't widely popular "because of the media backing". By your logic, Kerry probably had media backing, and he was a joke. He was a genuinely good candidate. I think one important reason Obama did so well is that he comes off as being well-informed and knowledgeable about the issues. Palin never really came off as knowing anything that wasn't directly related to Alaska. Great if your the governor, not so good nationally.

Also, Rev and other people have claimed the left is "scared" of Palin. Can anyone link me to anything written by a prominent liberal where they admit they're actually scared that Palin can beat Obama? I call BS if not.

Totally agree.

I'm pretty confident that those who claim the left is scared is basing that on inferrence (the left keeps talking about her and beating her up because they want to hurt her chances of being a candidate in 2012 or anytime in the future), as opposed to a lefty saying, "I'm scared."

What would you like me to write about this 6 month long left wing tantrum over Palin?

McCains poll numbers went up with Palin.

McCain was Obama white...... And people were tired of Bush. McCain could have put anyone there and he still would have lost.... You all just don't get this.

Nonsense, it is hyper libs that are posting threads. I don't see CC starting threads on her, Dr. Patrick, etc.

We on the right let her go a while ago... You lefties are all attack mode on her. Its perplexing.
