Why are you not voting for McCain....


In an effort to push my vote away. McCain has stated that he would tap GORE of all people to head the EPA.... (I am looking for it, heard it on the radio this morn)


So I ask you environmentalists.... Why are you not supporting McCain now?

Gore's spokeswoman, Kalee Kreider, declined to comment on the Obama offer and was complimentary about the presidential candidates, including Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona.
"Former Vice President Gore thinks that both candidates are very strong. Both of them have offered plans to address the climate crisis ... as has Senator McCain," she said.

I asked Kreider why she is praising McCain, considering that Bush lied in 2000 about his intent to deal with climate change. Here's her response.

The key threshold issue for most NGO's and people working on climate, ourselves included are: Does the policymaker, work, support, vote in favor of, introduce legislation for mandatory reductions in pollution or not. McCain has, Bush has not.

Because I dont' like anything else he stands for. Barack Obama is an environmentalist, and I support almost all that he stands for.

What about those non pro-environmental people who plan on voting for McCain? Worse yet, siding with Gore, LOL. Seems he's one of the most despised men by the right.

whoa, McCain is thinking of taking one of the craziest of people to have come along in quite some time and put him in charge of the EPA. Is this for real? Who could vote for him if he would really put Gore in charge of the EPA?

"Obama's environmental activism stretches back to his undergrad days at Columbia University, during which he did a three-month stint with a Ralph Nader offshoot organization trying to convince minority students at City College in Harlem to recycle. In 2003, Obama was one of six state senators to receive a 100 Percent Environmental Voting Record Award from the Illinois Environmental Council.
