Lean: Liberal Gender: | Palin's Problem This is a great article by Charles Krauthammer. I normally think he is a jackass because all he does is attack Democrats. This made me see him differently because I admire someone who can provide an honest assessment of someone within their own party.
He calls the Palin pick problematic. He notes that in one fell swoop McCain had undermined his strategy of making his campaign about how Obama was "the least experienced, least qualified, least prepared presidential nominee in living memory." He stated, "Palin is not ready."
This is a great paragraph: Quote:
The problem is the inherent oddity of the incumbent party running on change. Here were Republicans -- the party that controlled the White House for eight years and both houses of Congress for five -- wildly cheering the promise to take on Washington. I don't mean to be impolite, but who's controlled Washington this decade? Charles Krauthammer - Palin's Problem - washingtonpost.com | |

This is a great paragraph: | Why don't you stop trying to pump the veep experience thing. It has mattered, what maybe twice in presidential history? The problem is Obama's experience level, not Palin's. Compared to McCain, Obama is nothing. He might as well be just a community organizer. If you're concerned about Palin's experience, you should be alarmed then; since she has more executive experience than Obama.

As for Obama's experience, I don't understand why this is relevant. Two wrongs make a right? Somehow her lack of experience is mitigated because Obama lacks experience? Or is it that if you can't argue the facts, attack the opposing side. |

W Bush had lots of executive experience before his presidential position and its now obvious that that doesn't help. |

Or is it that if you can't argue the facts, attack the opposing side. | Obama wants to be the President of the United States, Einstein. That makes it relevant. When the Constitution was first established, the veep was the loser in the race. Read what John Adams thought of the veep slot. What are the qualifications listed in the Constitution for being President? Does it say Harvard graduate, community organizer, what? Have you ever read it? You need to seek help with those denial issues you have. This is a Presidential election, not a Vice-presidential election. Maybe you shouldn't vote until you understand those fundamentals. |

I'll be sure to note that now you're a big Krauthammer fan. I thought your side usually dismisses him as "one of those neocons." |

." | Because if you compare her to Biden, she looks even better?
With John being only a little younger than Methuselah, it does matter some, so she should prepare for taking over, but hopefully she has time. From what I hear and read, she learns fast....
