So far, it's as awful as I had hoped! The man just doesn't know how to give a speech. What does everyone else think?
I'll refrain from assigning him a letter grade until it's over...but it isn't looking good so far.

Flat, uninspriing, uneventful....much of the same. He has never done well at stuff like this. Like Cindy, he looks like he's faking his facial expressions in order to emphasize a point. It looks false and insincere. He did this numerous times.

Much better than I expected. Maybe I won't have to hold my nose while voting for him after all...
Some of his comments about his POW experience making him a better man sounds more than just sincere, and the phrase "selfish independence" was a good one. In dire situations of whatever stripe, you learn to lean on each other for support, or you don't survive. I am thinking that he has let his guard down a bit and we are seeing more of the real John McCain than ever before.
