OK, folks, up for sale at this time is my position on gay adoptions. How many votes do you offer me to sell you my vote on this most important issue? Will you give me more votes on my stance AGAINST gay adoptions(1), or will you give me more for my stance IN FAVOR OF gay adoptions (2). Step right up and make a bid. I am for sale, and the highest bidder gets me.
(1) Quote: |
I think that we’ve proven that both parents are important in the success of a family so, no, I don’t believe in gay adoption.
| 2) Quote: |
McCain's expressed his personal preference for children to be raised by a mother and a father wherever possible," the statement added. "However, as an adoptive father himself, McCain believes children deserve loving and caring home environments, and he recognizes that there are many abandoned children who have yet to find homes. John McCain believes that in those situations that caring parental figures are better for the child than the alternative.
| Actually, in the article where the second quote is taken from, McCain flip flops on the issue. He was for it before he was against it before he was for it before he was against it before......(well, you get the picture).
Damn, is your head spinning as much as the spin coming out of the McCain campaign? I think we need a second opinion from McCain's campaign. Let's ask his campaign director for Alabama, Troy King.

But then I realized that wouldn't be possible because I think Dana would like, have a heart attack. It'd be the holy grail of "random republicans caught being gay" posts.

Current Mood: | Re: Welcome to John McCain's Gay Carnival I find it ironic that someone who claims to be a libertarian would show such contempt for a federalist argument. What he was saying, which you conveniently left out, was that he didn't think it was the federal government's business and he sees how others can support gay adoption, how it can be better than the alternative of no adoption. He didn't advocate a ban, which, once again, you conveniently left out, because you're just that honest.
