I believe the same about the rev. and believe you're right. It did seem an odd response now that you point it out. Thanks for that JM.

Well, you asked why, I made it a little more colorful in a conversation between us vets as I value any vet equally.

However I think a little more needs to be done than a 4 year stint in the personel office for lifetime free healthcare.

Though that would fill those slots wouldn't it.

When one talks about enlistment and retention one must include and admit such things as the G.I. Bill, cash bonuses and VA benefits are key to filling out our services, particularly when you have a hack like bush in office and the threat of more of the McSame on the horizon.

I've said this before and will say it again, I have a 15 y/o who is determined to go into the Army but if McCain somehow steals the election and get in office I'm going to do everything in my power to keep him from enlisting. Him and my 13 y/o who will also follow the footsteps of his father and older brother.

McCain is a threat to this nations men and women in the service, IMO, who have, are and will enlist to serve our country. Particularly given his penchant for fear mongering, saber rattleing and making statements such as "I'm sorry to tell you there's going to be more wars" and "I'm going to ask you (young men and women) to serve". Well not my kids, not on my watch, not in my lifetime. Huh-uh.
