Therein lies the problem with the new style of "news". Both MSNBC and FoxNews has a majority of "editorial" shows so they can always use the defense of it not being "technically" a news show. What if Bill O'Reilly posted a fabricated photo of Obama shooting heroin the month before the election and went off as if it were verified? Would that not be a similar instance to the Dan Rather story? I think it would and so would the public I suspect. That's the problem, they hide behind the shield of being an "editorial" show and then basically get to say whatever they want to.

That's nothing new and, as you say, it isn't singular to Fox. Fox and Friends isn't even really editorial, even. It's just a recap of stories all over the media. It's like Talk Soup but with the major news coverage. Anyone who holds the illusion that Fox and Friends is in any way hard journalism deserves to be duped and then sterilized for the good of the human genome's future because they obviously crawled out of the shallow end of the gene pool.

I just suggest you just go do some research on the difference between hard journalism, editorialism, and talk shows.

I suggest you quit moving the goalposts and take a stand.

Please tell me what you consider to be news shows and we can move on from there. Otherwise, you posturing as if you ever made it clear as to what programs are providing the most fair coverage.

Fine. Brit Hume - Journalist. Chris Wallace - Journalist. Bill O'Reilly - pundit, soft journalist. Greta - she's about 50/50 and I can't really decide where to place her. Fox and Friends - talk show/news magazine but definitely not journalism.

Yes, I've read every word you've typed here. You told me it didn't happen on Fox News Channel. And now you're whining about how shows on the channel aren't even news shows. I already knew that. And btw, it did happen on the channel. You were refuted, and now you're backpedaling.
