I don't know about you, but I find this entire ad to be pretty disgusting. Good god, talk about fear mongering. I don't like McCain, nor will I be voting for him in the fall but c'mon people, this is ridiculous.



Hopefully they will have the good sense to pull this pretty quickly.

The video doesn't cover a single policy or his past voting record. All this video gets across is "John McCain supports dictators". Of course they didn't come right out and say it but it still caters to fear none the less. This has no more substance than the Swiftboat commercials.

The man claims to take on lobbyists. I didn't know he meant take them on his campaign staff. He made lobbyists an issue. The ad shows that lobbbyists don't have our best concerns in mind. This was no swiftboating. Lobbyists support whomever has the cash. McCain isn't taking them on as he claimed he would. Where is the falsehood in the ad?

The thing was fine, but is the exact kind of video that liberals would've been clamoring about should the republicans had made something like that claiming their just using fear tactics.

That's my point. They bitch and moan when republicans use this type of tactic, but yet it seems to be perfectly acceptable (as seen in the responses) when democrats us it.

What fear mongering was done? The ad talked about 3rd rate dictators and McCain's friends/campaign employees representing oppressive governments while McCain claims that he's going to take them on. Bit of a dishonest lie on your part isn't it? The ad says nothing about fear at all. It addresses something which has been central to McCain's campaigning.
