500 is a pretty good sample size for the state of New Jersey, when you consider most national polls are around or less than 1000. I'd be worried if I was Lautenburg too, as you said, at least until more polls come out.

I never thought I'd see Alaska and the Senate Minority Leaders seats so close.

I don't ever like seeing Democrats beat Republicans, but both Stevens and McConnell are pieces of ****. They should've taken them both out during the primaries!

So how badly do you think the beating is going to be in november?

I dunno. I could see McConnell holding on while Stevens goes down, Collins, Dole, Landrieu and Smith may be pulling away, I'd say Mississippi is a true tossup, Sununu will likely go down (unless partier's insight is valid, which is a distinct possibility that I won't discount), the Virginia seat is Warner's, I'd say the New Jersey seat is a true tossup, and I like Norm Coleman's chances, I don't see Al Franken endearing himself in a campaign. I mean, obviously, still a notable Dem year, but a filibuster-buster is seeming less and less likely, thank God.

Alright, new polls of import:
Maine: Republican Incumbent Sue Collins leading 49-42
Kentucky: Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell leading 50-39
Colorado: Democrat Mark Udall is leading Republican Bob Schafer by 9
New Hampshire: Democrat challenger Shaheen 53 Republican incumbent Sununu 39

And in case there's any question about that other senate seat in Virginia, most recent poll has Warner up by 31 points - 59-28. Real close one they've got going over there!

Despite polls, this is my prediction:

NH - Sununu holds on and wins
Kentucky: I hope so badly McConnell loses but I doubt it...
Colorado: Udall will win
Main: Sue Collins wins, but I hate her too...
VA= despite polls, I know I know, its a longshot, but I just have a gut feeling Gilmore will win.
