What is that old saying? "Kick the bums out." | And that's why the Democrats look to pick up seven or eight seats in the Senate?
---
By the way there's an interesting situation in Iowa. Incumbent Tom Harkin isn't going to have any trouble keeping his seat, but the GOP primary was crazy on Tuesday. There were three candidates: New guy Christopher Reed, idiot Steve Rathje (who refused to debate because he can't form a coherent sentence), and the experienced George Eichhorn (clearly the best choice and best chance to win in November).
Reed: 25,159 (35.29%)
Eichhorn: 24,756 (34.71%)
Rathje: Can't find a # but had 30%
And 35% is the nominating threshold too.. pretty crazy.
The GOP is also hapless in my district, take a look at their primary results for the House:
Dr. Miller-Meeks: 7,360
Teahen: 7,251
Needless to say both Teahen and Eichhorn are looking for recounts, although Teahen is being much more of an *** about it.

That governor before Vilsack, I heard stories about him taking his son water skiing on the corn fields after the '93 flood, running Jim "I'm a Sellout" Nussle in 2006, Chuck Grassley is the only thing going for them.

I'm still ashamed to live in a state that continues to re-elect Steve King to the House... |

I don't think particularly highly of the body politic in Iowa, albeit it's still superior to the body politic in Chicago. |

I also don't think too highly of Culver. But Vilsack and Loebsack are two politicians who I feel always do what they think is the right thing for their constituents. Regardless of their politics, isn't that all we can ask from politicians? |

The campaign he ran against Jim Leach was the skeeziest, bottom-feeding-ist, dirty ass playing to the lowest common denominator **** I have ever seen. My roommate is from Mt. Pleasant originally, Vilsack used to be his mayor, he was then the same as he was as governor, doing what he can to get to higher office without thinking twice about his current constituents. We're very lucky he's too stupid to be successful in getting any higher. |

I recognize that Jim Leach (who is a great person) ran an imamculate campaign which may have made Loebsack's look worse in comparison.
I thought Vilsack acted admirably in the office of governor and followed his principles rather than the polls of the day (see eminent domain bill veto). |

Are to Dem congressmen were only elected because two years ago everyone was pissed of at the Repuplicans. But Jeb Bradley our ex congressman for district one who lost 2 years ago to the Carol Shea Porter. Hes beating her in the poles right now and she is the biggest idiot ive ever seen in politics. Now Hodes will win the second district again. The Gov might resign because he has put us in a giant hole economic debt or somthing like, anyways not good. The only way he sees how to fix that is by raisning taxes, which in NH means you are going to die.

Now considering that Shaheen is leading Sununu by 7%, she is currently favored to win. A lot can change, but things are looking good for her.

If you look at the polls from the past few months you would see that Sununu is gaining ground. |
