It seems these days that the McCain supporters and Republican chickenhawks are terrified of November - hence they're trying to vilify Obama and Clinton. Attacking Obama and continuing the assertion that Obama expresses the same attitude as Wright does despite Obama's speech this week. They have no platform to stand on, all they have is to make personal attacks.

In reality they know in their minds that they will be facing a brutal year and November will be a nightmare for them. True conservatives don't support McCain nor do they like the current situation involving the unconstitutionality of the Bush administration.
Liberals? Enough said.

Sorry neocons, you're days are done and gone.
R.I.P.

Let's just clarify these are McCain supporters and not McCain or his campaign.

Says the opinion polls.

hmm, not a McCain supporter not a neocon and Obama is a racist.

did you miss the threads where obama stated that his grandmothers racism was because she was a "typical white woman"?

Actions (and inactions for 20 years) speak louder than words.

I don't really care what you think of Obama with regards to this thread. If you want my opinion equally Obama's affiliation doesn't sit too well with me either and I think his supporters need to take this matter into serious consideration. But this thread is not about Obama nor his supporters nor your opinion of Obama, it's about McCain, he has no chance and the neo cons are dead - November will be a nightmare for these guys.

Obama will be our next President. This is a foregone conclusion. Get used to it everyone.

Which Mccain supporters are we talking about here?

Just the ones at DP?

I wouldn't pay it any attention really. Its a political scandal, therefore will dominate the messageboards. People are going to have their opinions one way or the other. You mention yourself that the situation didn't sit well with you. Its entirely plausible that it doesn't sit well with many people regardless of affiliation. To accept that it doesn't sit well with you, but call out McCain supporters for having it not sit well with them just doesn't follow for me.

It isn't a "scandal." That McCain was one of the Keating Five is a scandal. That McCain had an affair and dumped his first wife to marry a young millionairess is a scandal. The continued support for a war that was waged in deceit is scandalous, at least it should be. Guilt by association doesn't rise to the level of a scandal, no matter how much the media trumpets it.

Don't think so brother, I think he is the titanic at a 20 degree list at this point.

The dems as I have said are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

Sometimes perception can be more powerful than reality. Therefore it would qualify as a scandal. I have no issues with it myself. Obama said enough in his speech to make it a non-issue for me. Well I wasn't going to vote for him anyway, but in the event he is my next president I'm not worried about this situation amounting to anything.

Well, I am a McCain supporter (at this time) and I do not fear November. (However, anyone playing the Packers should be. Whitetail deer too.)

But I do agree that polls mean nothing at this point. I further find it ironic that many of the people trumpeting the polls today, are the same people that usually dismiss them when they are not in their favor.

And I agree that McCain will be running an uphill battle regardless who gets the democratic nod simply because of the party he is tied too and the recent past. But we can always hope. The audicity to hope.

I know if Hillery gets the nod, McCain will probably have a very good chance to win. If Obama gets the nod, it's a flip of the coin. But I would prefer Obama over Hillery if my guy dioesn't win.

But........ if Hillery and Obama call off the dogs on each other, and leave their opponents smear media/machine to it's own demise, team up and run together, that's another story.

But....... if McCain picks Joe Lieberman as a running mate, that MIGHT just give him enough crossover votes to pull it off.

Regardless, this ought be a lot of fun to watch.

I disagree about Lieberman. I don't think another old guy who already lost a Presidential election would be much help.

Which Mccain supporters are we talking about here?
The type that support him simply because he is the Republican nominee and the party tells them to support him.

I'm not calling them out on this, no it was but one of the examples of how obsessed these diehards are with this issue and the infighting of the democratic party as well as weekly updates on the latest Rasmussen polls - seems like they're worried about something:lol:
