Current Mood: | Re: McCain Leads Obama by Six, Clinton by Eight Highlights: Quote: |
In the new survey McCain enjoys an 22-point advantage among male voters with Clinton as his opponent. He lags by only three points among female voters.
| That's huge. Quote: |
McCain does better than either Democrat with unaffiliated voters in the new survey, but especially when Clinton is his opponent. Against the former First Lady, he leads 52% to 31% with unaffiliateds.
| Even with Obama's message for "change," McCain wins among independents. Quote:
John McCain is viewed favorably by 52% and unfavorably by just 43%. His favorables have been in the 50%+ range since late November.
Hillary Clinton is currently viewed favorably by 47%, unfavorably by 51%. Barack Obama is viewed favorably by 51%, unfavorably by 45%.

Rasmussen Reports’ Election 2006 coverage has been praised for its accuracy and reliability. Michael Barone, Senior Writer for U.S. News & World Report and co-author of The Almanac of American Politics, mentions, “One clear lesson from the Republican victory of 2004 and the Democratic victory of 2006 is that the best place to look for polls that are spot on is RasmussenReports.com." And University of Virginia Professor Larry Sabato states, “In election campaigns, I’ve learned to look for the Rasmussen results. In my experience, they are right on the money. There is no question Rasmussen produces some of the most accurate and reliable polls in the country today.”
Rasmussen Reports was also the nation's most accurate polling firm during the 2004 Presidential election and the only one to project both Bush and Kerry's vote total within half a percentage point of the actual outcome.
During both Election 2004 and Election 2006, RasmussenReports.com was the top-ranked public opinion research site on the web. We had twice as many visitors as our nearest competitor and nearly as many as all competitors combined.

I agree, it doesn't matter the accuracy, or if it will change. If others periodically use credible polls (assuming this is), it's fair game, and certainly a whomp on democracts.
I'm glad I don't hate McCain, I think any of McCain, Obama, or Clinton aren't tragic. I do get a bit concerend about the pre-existing hate groups vs Clinton, and the unertainty of Obama in general, and of course the thought of another Republican, even McCain, back in office right now (wait 8 years then it's better), but all in all not a horrid group of three.

Current Mood: | Re: McCain Leads Obama by Six, Clinton by Eight The lead will only grow once the majority rally around McCain to take down Hillary.
