Obama: I won't leave on Jan 20

oh, you were discussing random people saying dumb things when you said "both sides are the same"? I was discussing lying narratives pushed by the conservative media and republicans that were believed by large numbers of conservatives. Is is possible that since there is a concerted effort from the right to keep their base in a constant state of fear and anger with non-stop lies and spin there might actually be more random people of the right that say dumb things.

Does me stating that make me part of the problem?

No as long as you understand people left and center/other do the same. If you feel on a scale of 1-10 the right does it on like an 8 and the left does it at like a 6 and the center/other does it at alike 5 or something like that fine and people can debate that all day long. But if you feel the right does it at like a 10 and the left does it at like a 1, then yes you would be part of the problem.

Oh, you're still talking about random people. again, I was discussing lying narratives pushed by the conservative media and republicans that were believed by large numbers of conservatives. But if you want to put a number on a scale concerning random people, I would say conservatives are a 5 (I'm using the about 50% of conservatives believed President Obama was born in kenya or there were death panels). And I would put democrats <1. I just don't see the volume of democrats posting comments that have no basis in fact or clinging to something that has been completely disproven (like stand down orders). Look at my sig. That's either two delusional posters ( one was just a greedy un-American businessman) or two liars defending conservative narratives.

If you ever feel up to it, let me know if you find something that even comes close to the following short list of vile, disgusting and dishonest narratives pushed by republicans and the conservative media

President Obama was born in Kenya
His BC a forgery
He wants to kill old people
the stimulus will cause hyper inflation, dollar collapse, market to zero
the auto bailout was an illegal bankruptcy/union bailout
QE is inflating the market
the vile and disgusting "stand down" lies.

No, I'm not talking "random people" I'm talking about anybody and everybody. Any group you want to talk about is guilty of having extremists. Yes if you think it's a fact that 50% of conservatives are extremists and less than 10% democrats are extremists then yes your views are definitely part of the problem.

oh, now you're talking about extremists. If you want to find some extremists look at all three of my sigs. Anyhoo I was talking about people who are fed a steady stream of lies and then believe them. check this out, 2 and a half years into office, 41% of GOP believed President Obama was born in Kenya. Not quite the 50% I said but this is 2 and a half years into his presidency.

On President Barack Obama’s birthday, a new CNN/Opinion Research released Wednesday shows 41 percent of Republicans believe Obama was “probably” or “definitely” born in another country.

41% of Republicans: President Obama foreign-born - Andy Barr - POLITICO.com

check this out.

About four in 10 U.S. adults believe that President Obama's healthcare reform law will create "death panels" to decide patients' fitness for care, according to a new Associated Press-GfK survey.

Poll: Four in 10 believe in Obama healthcare law[/url

that's 4 in 10 adults. Lets face it, me putting it at 50% for conservatives is being kind. Surely you can admit that pretty much backs up my numbers. And that's only the people who believed it. How many conservatives parroted these falsehoods knowing full well they were lies. Just look at two of my sigs. Does the one guy really believe the economy wasn't destroyed when President Obama took over and did the other really post gadaffi "had integrity to fight with his military and didn't use terrorists". They posted it (and the gadaffi guy posted it over and over). Now where did these large numbers of stupid people and liars get these ideas about death panels and born in Kenya?

It's almost like you think moving the goal posts, trying to twist what I actually said and random strawmen will work. Haha it wont.
There is no changing it, if you think it's a fact that 50% of conservatives are extremists, biased (or any other name you want to change to <insert here>) and less than 10% democrats are extremists, biased (or any other name you want to change to <insert here>) then yes your views are definitely part of the problem. If that reality bothers you, change it only you have the power to do so. :)

mmmmm, I don't mean to upset you but you're not responding to my posts. Extremists is a word you injected into the conversation. My point has been consistently about the conservative media and republicans pushing lying narratives and the large number of conservatives who believe them. And I've proven my point. You cant debate that point so you've literally moved the goal posts. How funny is it that you accuse me of it. and even if you "move" the conversation to extremists, I have 2 extremist quotes in my sig.

Here's a crazy idea, instead of flailing at my posts, tell me what you think about the two sigs. Maybe they're not extremists but clearly they're not honest.

upset me? hahahaha you haven't. Other posts? what other posts, if you go through my thread history you will definitely see me pointing out hypcrisy when people blindly base the left or say its only lefties that do things. In fact some of them have said I dont lean right because of it and I am faking which i find hilarious. You are know different, you are just like them but on the opposite end. :)

Yep and I told you I include them and they are no different
And I've proven my point.
You haven't "proven" anything, all you have doen is shared your OPINION

This is called a deflection. Hint: it wont work

This is also a deflection and a strawman. But to answer your question and to make your biased posts look more stupid I'll answer. Too the best of me of the three posters make posts I would consider dishonest, biased and extreme at times. One of them has a similar name to like 3-4 posters and I can't comment because I don't know. Now your deflections and strawmen about "3 posters" woooooo aside my post remains.

iI you think it's a fact that 50% of conservatives/conservative media etc are extremists, biased (or any other name you want to change to <insert here>) and less than 10% democrats are extremists, biased (or any other name you want to change to <insert here>) then yes your views are definitely part of the problem. How about this, just answer this question and it will tell me me everything I need to know.

Do you think your views about conservatives at 50% vs Democrats at less than 10% are facts or just your opinion, yes or no?

I was talking about the conservative media and republicans pushing lying narratives and the large number of conservatives who believe them. and I've proven my point. Now if you want to move the goalposts to extremists then by all means attempt to support your point. Just be aware, flailing at me and my posts doesn't support your point.

I notice you didn't answer my question and you are trying to deflect and use you early strawman again even though it didn't work when you first tried it. Haha Please do so, thank you. Here's my question and I'll use YOUR exact verbiage so you can't try to deflect again. I can't wait to see what you do :D

Do you think your views about "conservative media and republicans pushing lying narratives and the large number of conservatives who believe them" at 50% vs Democrats at less than 10% are facts or just your opinion, yes or no?

well the "conservative part" of my opinion based on the facts. I put it at 50% based on two different polls. If you want to quibble about percentages, go right ahead but its a large percentage. oooooo, that would require you to be specific. I just guessed at the democrat part. Like I said, I don't see a concerted effort from the left or center to whip democrats into a constant state of fear and anger with non-stop lies and spin and I don't see democrats believing things that have long been disproven. And you must not see it either because you've flailed, deflected and moved the goal posts. I know, read your first post again.
I'm glad others commented on this. The OP is just another perfect example of what is wrong with politics today on both sides. People simply making up the news and lies and claiming them as legit and facts. So sad.
yep, you were talking about exactly what I replied to you with, people believing lying news and editorials. As I said I only see it from the right. And I posted a short list of exactly what you described from the right. You've yet to attempt in any way post anything that comes close to :

President Obama was born in Kenya
His BC a forgery
He wants to kill old people
the stimulus will cause hyper inflation, dollar collapse, market to zero
the auto bailout was an illegal bankruptcy/union bailout
QE is inflating the market
the vile and disgusting "stand down" lies.

see Layla, if you're going to say both sides do it then you need back your point. Something tells me you cant hence you deflected, dodged and moved the goal posts. Go ahead and "quibble" about my percentages but back up your point. And Layla, desperately whining that I'm an extremist doesn't back up your point.

What he said was he won't quietly fade away, but may criticize Trump. The horror! People criticizing the Great One? That can't be allowed!

Of course it can. What could be more entertaining than poking the tweeter in chief. We deserve our entertainment. We may yet put some humor back in politics!

I watched his address. He never said "I won't leave on Jan. 20th". He simply said that together we'll all continue to work to better our country.

Basically, he pointed out that rather then following the tradition of riding off into the sunset after he leaves office, he plans to stick around DC and make an ass of himself.

I found nothing offensive in Obama's remarks in this link. He said he is going to take on the roll of an active citizen. Good for him!

Average citizens do not use the media to stay underfoot of a new president.

I can only assume by 'he' you meant the OP, since a former President planning on being an active citizen seems to be neither classless nor clownish.

There is a big difference between being an active citizen and purposely stating underfoot of a new president.

There are certain decorums that if Obama doesn't want to follow, work both ways. Obama wants to break the "one President at a time" tradition, then Congress should dispense with the tradition of not investigating wrongdoing with the associated prosecution of misdeeds he did while in office. Fast and Furious along with Bengazi come to mind.

Obama: I won't leave on Jan 20 | Washington Examiner

Oh stop your whining, trump is break protocols all over the place and you whine that Obama is not leaving until the next President is sworn in, good grief, just get over it already, you won.

The point is that tradition cuts both ways. If Obama wants to jettison the tradition of not interfering with the new President, then it's fair play to jettison the tradition of not carefully examining a former President for criminal wrongdoing when he was in office.

And there certainly was criminal wrongdoing....starting with "Fast and Furious", the IRS scandal, and using taxpayer money in an attempt to influence the outcome of elections(Brexit and Israel).

Fear is a greater motivator than the strongest substance known to man.

These asshats have been creating fears about terrorists under every bed, of course they see boogie men everywhere.

When Canada announced it would take in 25,000 Syrians [It became 64,000] the Trump crowd lost their minds...."they will rape your women.." was the most notable. We now have 64,000 of them and so far none of them has committed a crime....but they still shrilly insist every Muslim of Mexican who enters the country is a terrorist rapist.

Trump's people are everything ophobic.

Tell it to Germany and France. They are suffering the consequences of allowing insane numbers of Syrian refuges in without vetting them. And the 64,000 that Canada has allowed in are very low numbers compared to how many Obama is attempting to bring in without vetting. Canada is also not a high priority target for terrorists. The USA is. Or was it Canada that was viciously attacked on 9/11/01? And it's not a fear issue. I do not live anywhere near a prime target. It's a common sense issue. The attacks of 9/11/01 cost the US economy roughly 1.6 trillion dollars, more if you count the wars it led to....not to mention the body counts. And on your point concerning motivation, I am reasonably sure that Canada's motive for bringing in refugees is humanitarian. Obama's is not. To Obama it is simply another opportunity to eventually pad the voter rolls with as many poverty stricken people as possible who will be dependent of government entitlements. The same goes for his motivation against enforcing our immigration laws. and to bring as many illegal immigrants as possible in from our southern borders. Canada is not being overwhelmed with illegal immigrants on a daily basis. The USA is.

Oh stop your whining, trump is break protocols all over the place and you whine that Obama is not leaving until the next President is sworn in, good grief, just get over it already, you won.

I like the major one he is breaking......flushing political correctness down the toilet.

And your point is?

That whining on and on about Obama, The First Lady, and the Clintons shows that some can not move forward because they are stuck in cesspool of hate. Forget them, they are History and the future in Not in the rearview mirror, it is right in Front of you. Clear it up?

I like the major one he is breaking......flushing political correctness down the toilet.

While I agree the Political Correctness has gone waaaaay too far, that does not mean everyone should dump all semblance of Class or Decorum. Besides being a Horses Arse publically does not exactly increase ones standing in the world.

Not really. It is not us that cannot forget and move on.

Then tell Obama and Hillary to stop acting like one.

We all know he's a classless piece of ****. There's no way he's going to show President Trump the same courtesy that he received from President Bush.

Right. "We" all know the Kenyan muslim with 55% approval is classless compared to the ***** grabbing, 3am tweeting ayatollah Trump. Now that is class.
