Looks like the Trumpster CAN be diplomatic.

With one short trip, he managed to make Hillary look even more petty than he is. I have to admit the man has skills.

Today was the best day of the general campaign for the Trump campaign!
The polls are getting closer. Crooked Hillary is getting worried tonight. :doh

Trump speaking in Phoenix, AZ.

The #1 core issue on immigration issue is "The Well being of the US citizen.

I caught about half of his speech. What's the phrase--"barnburner"?

Hillary Clinton is producing nothing but Bricks. However the MSM is hardcore in the tank for her. His meeting with the Mexican President is not being covered at all in the media.

Not being covered?

Everyone showed it live and hasn't shut up about that and his immigration speech.

On top of that, Trump being called "magnificent" because he got through the subsequent statement after the meeting without swearing or insulting yet another demographic hardly qualifies the use of that term.

Trumpkins truly, madly, deeply live in another reality.

Come back and tell us all about it after Trump gets his butt handed to him in November.

What kind of ****ing reality do you live in?

""His policy stances could represent a huge threat to Mexico, and I am not prepared to keep my arms crossed and do nothing," Pena Nieto said. "That risk, that threat, must be confronted. I told him that is not the way to build a mutually beneficial relationship for both nations.""

Probably an indication of success, especially with the Mex Prez crying about the wall afterwards.

He probably told that clown, that his days on the one-sided relationship are numbered. Their military were shooting over the border too. I'd have told that's going to stop too.

Nieto should consider that Mexico's current behavior is not the way to build a mutually beneficial relationship either. Perhaps he'd be better served cracking down on the drug cartels, providing running water and sewer systems, and offering some opportunity for Mexicans to live a decent life in their own country. That would be the type of thing a responsible leader would do. In short, Mexico could deal with it's own problems rather than passing them off to others. They have sufficient natural wealth that their decision to operate a third world slum is an intentional one dedicated to lining the pockets of those at the top only.

I'm not a fan of Trump, but I actually thought he came off well in the meeting with the Mexican President. Far better than I ever expected him to really be and far more presidential. It showed me an indication that he does have some chops to be diplomatic if/when necessary. If you're going to harshly criticize the man when he does wrong, you have to acknowledge instances where it goes the other way; otherwise your earlier criticisms become clear for what they are, petty partisan problems manifesting in the lowest common denominator way.

Or what, you're going to invade them? I'm all for it, as long as you and the war hawks are in the front lines.

Clearly you don't follow me. I've made it plainly clear before that is precisely what I'd threaten to do. You don't shoot at our civilians and border patrol without paying the price.

So Trump is going to "make Mexico great again also" how exactly?

I thought that was Nieto's job. Lemme check. Yup. He's the President of Mexico. Mexico has never been great. I imagine most Mexicans would settle for Nieto making Mexico great for the first time. He'd better get his ass in gear.
