(CNN) -- Sen. Joe Lieberman is crossing party lines and endorsing Republican Sen. John McCain for president.


Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Connecticut, is endorsing Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, for president.

"Being a Republican is important. Being a Democrat is important. But you know what's more important than that? The interest and well-being of the United States of America," the Democrat-turned Independent said in announcing his decision Monday morning in New Hampshire.

"McCain can reunite our country"...by being too conservatives for liberals to continue to like him once he's in office, but being too liberal for conservatives to like him once he's in office, thus causing both sides to be rather displeased with him.

While I have to agree but McCain seems to be the best choice to reunite the country. There is a few things that I disagree with him on but Im more than willing to put that aside to vote for him, since Im still a registered Republican although my dad says I should register Independent which I have tried to do.
