An honest query. How do you Sanders supporters feel now that he endorsed Hillary?

Re: An honest query. How do you Sanders supporters feel now that he endorsed Hillary

Inquiring minds would be more patient. This question isn't very relevant at the moment as the wounds are fresh and the real question "Will you vote for Hillary" can't be answered by those emotionally invested in Bernie for a few more months. You are likely to get a reaction that will not be indicative of what will really happen.

You are asking the right question, but at the wrong time if you want a meaningful answer.

You are actually proven correct. Only a select few have said a defining answer just yet.

maybe later on down the road.

I guess that makes me a libertarian then.

The reason I laughed was, well, look at the picture I use as an avatar. I don't know if you're familiar with the Fabulous Furry Freak Bros., but they were a carryover of the stoner culture of the 1960's.

Oh, very much so, I used to have quite a collection of the Freak Bros back in the day. I made a comment once when I first saw it, but we were in an agreement at the time, so it got glossed over.

Fat Freddy's Cat is my most beloved character. Being a cat person, I saw a lot of similar behaviors.

One of my favorite stories was when the cat goes to drink out of the toilet and Fat Freddy peed in the toilet but did not flush it down. So the cat went over and peed in his beer sitting open next to the couch, saying, " You pee in my drink, and I will pee in yours".

I also liked it when Fat Freddy's cat was a secret agent.

I miss the stoner culture of that era, and what prices of herbs used to be. Oregano, thyme, and cinnamon were much cheaper back then. You know...herbs.

Herbs indeed! And I remember when we went 126 days between ports in the IO on the Ranger back in 1983 (left PI, back to PI, nothing between). The cost of *ahem* herbs was $80 for ONE joint about as long as my pinkie and about as big around as one of those black Skilcraft pens (a great lesson in the law of supply and demand, come to think of it, back in the days before urinalysis tests became all the rage). But this was late at night with a couple of friends who were AO's, and I had five dollars left over for gedunk. I specifically remember that the Hershey bars that night cost ten cents, and so I came back with fifty - five-oh - Hershey bars. I'd never had the munchies before....

My favorite cartoon was when one of them - the scientifically-minded one - got seasick and began throwing up, and the sound of his puking was, "Buick! Buick! Buick! Buick!" I haven't looked at a Buick the same since....

Ah...those old familiar days in the IO when the bug juice tasted like JP5, Daisy milk was the only milk to be had, and herbs, like cinnamon, oregano, basil, and chives were well over $100 after the 90 day mark. Still, it helped to sleep. One thing that helped a lot was when I had some oral surgery and they gave me some Tylenol number 3's with codene. I slept so good all warm and cozy when I had those bad boys.

As for the Freak Bros. Remember when they went to the grocery store for food and the only thing their commune could agree to buy was a bag of soy beans, so instead they decided to go hunting? They go to a gun shop and the guy sold them an Italian Mannlicher-Carcano (JFK Rifle) and they were told by the guy that according to the Warren Commission, it is the most accurate and fastest shooting rifle in the whole world.

Okay, now that's hilarious.

Re: An honest query. How do you Sanders supporters feel now that he endorsed Hillary

He spent months upon months upon months ripping Hillary apart over campaign-finance reform, Wall St. ties, Iraq War, paid speeches, money from prison lobbyists... I could go on but I digress. He spent months upon months upon months hammering it into his supporters' heads that if they voted for him, they were getting a political revolution. Literally. There is no asterisk.

This is why I don't trust politicians. Period. You believe in them for a second and they turn on you.

Well,

After those months upon months upon months promoting a message of "Not Me, US"... he better not be kicking and screaming when people refuse to vote for the Counterrevolutionary candidate he just endorsed.

Gary Johnson is potentially DAYS if not HOURS from qualifying for the Presidential Superbowl.

Tylenol 3 never did anything for me...but the bilge wine did. We cleaned out an entire AFFF can, filled it up with apple juice, five pounds of sugar, added a tablespoon or two of yeast, and covered the hole with a condom to allow for expansion...and after a couple weeks sitting there, either it tasted really good, or my tastebuds were just happy to sense anything after a couple months underway.

On that issue - I didn't see that one! One of these days, I've got to see if anyone's posted them all online....

Holy crap. You may have been better off just drinking the AFFF. At least your pee would have put fires out instead of the other way around.

For me, having access to aircraft that were flying into and out of Europe to and from the AO made it easy to get a supply that wouldn't kill us. We'd get Everclear and make our own using that as the base.

Everclear? Ugh. That reminds me - my grandmother used to sell moonshine at the plantation commissary of James O. Eastland, who ended up spending several decades as a U.S. Senator. Certain valued customers would walk in, and she would hand them gallon jugs of moonshine as directed by her boss. He lived about five miles down the road from where I grew up in the Delta - which pretty much made him our neighbor in local terms.

On a side note, this is what I've been pointing out forever - it's wrong to keep pointing at each other and accusing each other of every political and social ill in the book, because when we get to know each other personally, we start to realize that the great majority of people on every political side are good, well-meaning, and hard-working people. We've got a heck of a lot more in common than most people think. This is why most of my personal friends are strongly conservative - I'm the (liberal) odd man out.

Poor half of the water out of your bottled water bottle, then replace the water with Everclear so you have a 50/50 mix. Then, with the only viable use ever found for the Lime Drink Powder contained in MRE's, you put two of those into the bottle (this is a full liter bottle now). The Lime Drink Powder doesn't do a damn thing for the taste, but it kills the smell of the Everclear. You can also try this with real lime juice. Lime juice kills the smell of alcohol, so I guess that the putrid Lime Drink Powder from MRE's had the same chemical makeup as real limes. BTW, not the Lemon-Lime, but the Lime Drink Powder that I don't think they even make anymore.

Next time you have a Jack and Coke, ask for a slice of lime from the barkeep and squeeze it into the drink, then smell it. Guaranteed success. This from a guy that had to fly on lots of military aircraft that flying after drinking was more then just frowned upon - I was taught that trick by an old crusty Bird Colonel that was a private in Korea and worked his way up. He taught me a lot.

Glen...I am going to be visiting a magazine store in the Dallas area next month. Would you like me to get you a few extra copies if I find any there? No charge, of course.

I did not need to deal with the AFFF canisters. We had a CRYPTO locker in my shop and AT2 Muki, myself, and our alchie Chief were the only ones that had clearance to go in there. Muki was from Hawaii and made some real kickass grape wine.

Nah - just found out they're available at comixjoint.com. Hate to say it, but I'm getting rather addicted to reading books online and listening to audiobooks online. That way, I don't have to worry about misplacing them.

We didn't have a CRYPTO locker, but we did have the shaft alley down a vertical ladder to the 6th deck, and even then, it would have been hard to find :)

Re: An honest query. How do you Sanders supporters feel now that he endorsed Hillary

This is just an honest question, in that once I saw on TV a bunch of Sanders supporters start booing as soon as Hillary appeared on one of the TV screens they were all watching.

Sanders supporters do not seem to care for Hillary all that much, so....

How do you feel now that he has done a complete 180 and endorsed the very same person you all have been fighting all this time?

Do you feel;
a. Betrayed
b. a bit sad
c. politics as usual
d. Hillary made some back door promises to him she does not intend to keep
e. Hillary make some promises to him she DOES intend to keep
f. the revolution / movement will continue on without him
g. anyone but Trump

or

f. fill in the blank ____________________.

I am interested because the media did not really cover much about how you Bernie supporters felt after he gave his complete support for Hillary. Whereas before you guys were always very passionate and vocal about your support for Bernie. Now all you hear is crickets.

I feel maybe it is because much of what you had to say could not be broadcast over the air, or are still trying to sort it out and figure out what to do next. I can't see all the passion put into this movement just fizzling out and moving over to Hillary. Someone who is completely in the pockets of Wall Street.

So how do you guys feel after Bernie said he was going to get behind Hillary?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Simple question to answer. The Sanders supporters who are Democrats will understand and support the nominee. The Sanders supporters who are Greens, or Anarchists, or Socialists will be pissed off and won't.
