No commentary, and I'll resist contributing to this thread, I simply wanted to post this article that speaks to Jeb Bush's leadership as Governor of Florida and his qualifications for the Presidency.

I encourage you to give it a read. Take care and have a good day.

Hm. Good on Newsmax Senior Editor for being willing to come out with an endorsement like this, at a tough time for the candidate he likes.

I'm not sure that Jeb deserves credit for the tech bubble, but good on him.

Jeb Bush Deserves a Second Look

I would honestly not mind voting for Jeb Bush. The last debate I agreed pretty much with everything he said. It was nice to see him shine without Trump being there, and he acted like the only grown up on the stage. I think it will shortly become a fight between Bush and Rubio and Cruz. The energy is back for Bush, now he has to make a comeback. Trump will go crying home.

*This may or may not have anything to do with my love for the entire Bush family. I have my reasons*

Jeb drew the short straw in the family. There is no way the US will ever elect another Bush to the WH...W made sure of that.

Jeb has already shown that despite what people claim....he is not "The smart one". His embrace of his brother and his brother's legacy doomed his chances. He should have run as far from his brother as possible.

You would have seen that as being "fake" as well. Whatever drives your agenda.............right?

You want to talk about a political dynasty? The Bush family hit DC in 1952 and, through other family ties, actually goes back another 100 years in US politics. They've been in the politics business longer than the Kennedys.

BS post.

There was a 3 way legal tug of war going on. The government was dragged into it

extensive political intervention at the levels of the Florida state legislature, then-governor Jeb Bush,
This gave Florida Governor Jeb Bush the authority to intervene in the case. Gov. Bush immediately ordered the feeding tube reinserted. On May 19, 2004, Florida Judge W. Douglas Baird overturned the law saying that it "summarily deprived Florida citizens of their right to privacy.". Bush appealed the ruling to the Florida Supreme Court.
The government wasn't "dragged" into a private family healthcare decison, it willingly jumped into the fray and JEB! Bush was leading the intervention.

Jeb after his behavior in the Terry Schiavo incident is forever disqualified from national office.

Her feeding tube was removed first on April 26, 2001, but was reinserted two days later on an appeal by her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler.

Nice try!

He's one of those "big government" conservatives that have been really popular among the establishment as of late.

Jeb Bush Deserves a Second Look

He's already had an infinite number of looks. Heck, even when his brother was in office folks were still looking at him. They looked at him the last two elections and each time he was not ready. He may have been a good governor, but that's as far as he's going to go. Give it up already.

You would have seen that as being "fake" as well. Whatever drives your agenda.............right?

Not Fake....Smart. Jeb's downfall began when he embraced his brother's legacy. That told everyone right there that he wasn't very smart. Its too bad for Jeb though...he certainly would have made a much better President than his brother...but GW screwed whatever chances he had.

The fact that he brought on 20+ odd of his brothers advisors including wolfowitz was another screaming disqualifier.

Yeah, that was a dumb as dirt move and betrays that at the very least he's tone deaf.

Still hanging on to that Bush 3rd place NH finish hey CJ?

i was going to post something cynical, but if you can't say anything nice and all, so i'll say this :

i admire his mother for stumping for him after she expressed less than zero desire to ever get involved in politics again. that's love. as for Jeb Bush winning the nomination, i really doubt it.

Don't feed it.

I have my respect for both the Kennedy's and the Bush's, often for some of the same reasons. I would rather have a Bush and Kennedy dynasty than a lot of the alternatives. Of course, with politics, I think John Adams (another notable political dynasty of the 18th and 19th centuries) had observed it best that families often breed better politicians than others. That is not to say I have the same opinion as Adams on the weight one should give to familial aristocracy, however, he had a good point.

In sentiment I can agree, but...

While I think we have a remarkable field — from a brilliant businessman like Donald Trump, a conservative champion like Carly Fiorina, a charismatic Rubio, and respected governors like Chris Christie and John Kasich, Jeb may fit the bill of what Americans want this November.

Who is this guy kidding? How on earth can you place two never-politicians in the same league as a United States Senator and three multi-term governors of influential states?

I forgot. This is the Republican Party.
