Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders landed the endorsement of former Sen. Paul Kirk (D-Mass.), a onetime Democratic National Committee chairman, on Thursday.Kirk praised the Vermont senator's "outspoken and courageous leadership, his candid and consistent pledge of allegiance to that All-American ideal," at a press conference at Dartmouth University.
"I am proud to be here to join this 'untiring effort'; and, as a former chairman of the National Democratic Party, to endorse Bernie Sanders for our party’s nomination for President of the United States of America," he added.

:applaud:applaudKeep it up Bernie! Keep this momentum going! Your making team Hillary nervous and I like it

Bernie's on a roll. I hope it continues. He better buy some kevlar for his own good.

Yeah. I'm sure if things don't go Clinton's way she'll be sure he's not the nominee dead or alive. She made these sort of implications back when Barack Obama crushed her in '08. Her ego won't tolerate another humiliation.

It's certainly not Hillary that I would worry about. Bernie's statement to investigate the largest 100 USA Corporations, i.e. "Too big to fail, Too big to jail," is where I perceive the threat.

Now, if Sanders can get some other names like Elizabeth Warren then he may just knock Hillary out of the nomination.

I doubt I could ever support Sanders for President, but I am very impressed with what he has accomplished with his campaign being up against both establishment Dems and the media.

Yes, near the end of that primary she was deep into a scorched-earth policy! Agreed!

I actually though of Sen Warren as a possible running-mate for him.

Do you have any thoughts on his VP pick, if he were to prevail in the primary?t

Trump and Sanders, both thought to be fringe candidates at the start of things are both prominent. What does this say about the political climate in the U.S.

I doubt it. Warren is great and would make a wondrful VP, and frankly I hope she is our first female President one day. But for Bernie to have even an inkling of a chance of accomplishing what he wants to accomplish he is going to need Warren right where she is.

It says that maybe, just maybe, the public is finally telling the establishment that enough is enough.

Didn't that other ex-DNC Chair Howard Dean endorse Hillary?
And with what she's been up to ol' Debbie has as good as endorsed Hillary.
I'm afraid Hillary's Party will be doing everything possible to shut up & out your guy.

The Republican Party hotshots will be trying the same thing with Trump.
It's not going to be easy for them.

We'll see which one, if either, wins.

Good point, and I've heard that argument often.

And I suspect he might need a bit of Yin to his Yang - as a matter of widening the net; similar to the way Joe Biden appeals to the blue-collar, Catholic, older Caucasian voters that Obama flounders with (but Hillary does well with).

I have no idea who that might be, but honestly I think ole' Joltin' Joe would be perfect!

I say "maybe" has nothing to do with it!

(but I realize you were just being facetious!)

EDIT: Just realized too late, I could've combined both of my replies!

I think he will ask her, Warren would be a perfect fit for Sanders.
