Led by Donald Trump, the GOP has abandoned its traditional dogwhistles in favor of a more overt approach to racism.

After two Bostonians allegedly beat up a homeless Hispanic man in August, one told police he was inspired by Donald Trump’s message that “all these illegals need to be deported.”

In response, Trump explained “that people who are following me are very passionate. They love this country and they want this country to be great again. They are passionate.” Later, he clarified that in no way, of course, does he condone violence. In June, Trump kicked off his campaign by calling Mexican immigrants “rapists” and drug-trafficking criminals. “Some, I assume, are good people,” he added.
Last Monday, five people were shot at a Black Lives Matter protest in Minneapolis. Three white men have been arrested in connection with the incident. It is important to emphasize that the investigation is in its very early stages, and it has not been confirmed who did this, or why.

On Saturday, Trump fans allegedly attacked a Black Lives Matter protester at a Birmingham rally. “Maybe he should have been roughed up,” Trump said.

Trump, Carson and neo-McCarthyite Ted Cruz make some very conservative people seem centrist by comparison. These so-called moderate conservatives, after all, claim the mantle of Ronald Reagan, a one-time right-wing challenger to the Republican establishment. Today, mainstream Republican Jeb Bush has suggested that we should prioritize Christian refugees, and Chris Christie has stated that many Black Lives Matter activists “advocate for the murder of police officers.”

Srsly dude, the acts of a few do not represent the whole. How about, instead of attacking the membership of the party, we argue against the policy positions?

I am not attacking the membership per se.........But am calling out the reported positions of GOP spokesmen........... when GOP leadership and GOP candidates for President engage in race bating, racist statements and the like..............and with little to no pushbacks or condemnations from within the GOP membership..................What is one to think

Your first mistake was reading an ultra-leftwing nutjob site like ALTERNET. Pretty much everything they put in their articles is spun innuendo, biased attitudes, misrepresentation or outright lies.

Now...I could go item by item and dispute everything you've posted, but I'm pretty sure I'd be wasting my time. I don't think you would even consider facts, logic or reason. So...I'll just settle with telling you that you and ALTERNET are just plain wrong.

Oh...and before you get started, you are dismissed.

1) Easily said........".Pretty much everything they put in their articles is spun innuendo, biased attitudes, misrepresentation or outright lies."

If you want to prove your point............Argue/disprove the statements/claims/facts of the article.............
To just say the article is baseless........ without proof nor a challenge to the stated documented facts ........... is just an excuse so as not to have to address the articles statements.......or is an empty claim without proof

2) Now...I could go item by item and dispute everything you've posted,..............But you don't dispute anything
but I'm pretty sure I'd be wasting my time............. The only waste of time is your lack of being able to address the subject directly

I don't think you would even consider facts, logic or reason................Why not try me rather than thinking you know what I will do

So...I'll just settle with telling you that you and ALTERNET are just plain wrong......................There ya go..........

This is what's referred to as the "NO ITS NOT" argument........and argument used most often by 5 year old children

.

Yes...easily said...but true.

If you want to prove your point............Argue/disprove the statements/claims/facts of the article.............

I've already said it's a waste of time.

See my next response...

I dispute all of it.

I don't think you would even consider facts, logic or reason................Why not try me rather than thinking you know what I will do

I've seen how you operate, so yeah...I know it would be a waste of time.

So...I'll just settle with telling you that you and ALTERNET are just plain wrong......................There ya go..........

No...it's called the "I know your post is BS, so I'll just call it BS and leave it at that." argument. This is the argument most often used by someone who's seen your ilk numerous times and really doesn't feel like going through that whole shebang again.

What you claim is not an argument on the facts.............It is no better than bar room bluster....... a/k/a BS.......... So you lose....TS Bunkie

And BTW..........

Stop wasting our time......

The saddest thing is that while you are correct that racism is afoot - it has not stemmed from the actions of Republican candidates. We are more racially divided now than we have been for 30 years and it's a direct result of the current administration's very public attempt to put those "ugly whites" in their place.

Howard.........you are charming...............But we must give credit to the GOP for getting all those racist bigots to come out of the closet........

Is demagogy a form of racism? Of course someone who calls all republicans racists, doesn't think of themselves as a racist.

Awww...quit your crying.

I've already dismissed you...what more do you want from me?

A closet designed, engineered and constructed by the current administration, with the MSM and democrats in general acting as subcontractors.

Nothing happens in a vacuum.

Billboards are available to rent near major highways. You should look into it.

In the entry I commented on, the size of the parties was a factor, as I remember.
