How did Trump do it? He wasn't as bombastic as usual. He was measured and low key. How did he pull this one off?

From AMERICA'S ANCHORMAN:

Hack Media Meme: Trump Fading - The Rush Limbaugh Show

All this does is show how these hacks fail to understand the bond that exists between a candidate and his audience or voters. Let me give you one little hint, media. Donald Trump cannot be hurt by something he does not say. Donald Trump, nor any other candidate, cannot be hurt by something he does not do. Last night, Trump didn't do a bunch of stuff. "Wow, he's fading away!" Wrongo. For you people in the media and in the Republican establishment to boot...

For you people waiting for Trump to blow it, waiting for Trump to step in it, whatever you think is gonna happen, it's typical and traditional from people who think their job is to take people out, and that's what the media thinks their job with us is, is to take us out. Trump was so low-key, nearly invisible, didn't light it up. Typical of this way of thinking. The only way Trump's gonna be taken out is if somebody comes along and is better. The media didn't make Trump. So, little hint, you media people: You can't take him out.

Really... the Drudge Report...

Trump's won all of those online polls for every debate so far. But self-selecting online polls like that are particularly meaningless.

He's still on top in the day after polling at RCP as well. He and Carson are the top two, everyone else is an also ran.

I doubt a popularity poll is an appropriate gauge of who won.

However, what it says is that Trump continues to resonate with a large segment of the population who have become fed up with the status quo. Anyone who sounds like he will actually change some things that never change is drawing great support. This is a sea change. I suggest politicos in the US need pay attention to this wake up call.

I think Mr. Trump is a game changer

He's still on top in the day after polling at RCP as well. He and Carson are the top two, everyone else is an also ran.

The RCP average that Trump is on top of, the most recent poll was from October 21-25(that is before the debate), and that poll has Carsom on top.

The media LIKES Trump. He's colorful and entertaining. It's the owner of Fox and the GOP establishment that don't. And I guess Megan Kelly, since he insulted her. (Very unpresidential, or even mature.)

(I didn't think anyone listened to Limb, any more. Not exactly a news source, there.)

According to Larry Sabato, a political analyst I respect, Rubio won the debate. Naturally, Larry doesn't count. What counts will be what the polls reflect next week. The bigger question just now is who will not survive much longer. That doesn't require too much rigor to determine.

He's just this years Ron Paul.

And at least Ron Paul wasn't crazy.

It's the only way the KENYAN SHOESHINE BOY could have gotten elected.

Good point.

And the politicos will ignore it. That's why they continue to act surprised.

I think Mr. Trump is a game changer.

Absolutely.

Actually, Kelly's attack on Trump in the first debate was very unprofessional. She deserved what she got, the bitch.

Intelligent people listen to him. And apparently there are a lot of them because he still has the highest rated radio talk show in the world.

Dream on.

The post debate polls have Trump and Cruz in the top slots. A Trump/Cruz ticket WILL win in a landslide. Maybe then, this country will get back on track.

At this stage it doesnt really matter who 'wins'...but who loses. The top candidates are pretty clear. Right now there is Trump, Rubio, Cruz, and Carson. Fiorina is clinging on. Christie just made himself a minor player. I think Bush didnt just shoot himself in the foot last night, he shot himself in the knee, then shot his own junk when he tried to tuck his little pistol in his waistband. I think if he has any sense he apologizes tomorrow and vanishes for 4-8 years. The rest...no chance. Best they can hope for is a VEEP spot.

We wont see the GOP TRUE front runner until after the deadwood is cleared. Conversely...Hillary already has 500 super-delegates tucked into her pocket. Sanders is pretty much a sideshow. Unless something seriously blows up in her face. The dem side is set.

The only post debate polls are online polls, which RCP does not use as they are not scientific. That is not a dream, that is fact.
