Now we will see the GOP start looking at some real contenders for the Dash.....here is one that I brought up that has the support behind him and around him. Many think he can take it from the likes of any out there now. Especially Christie, Cruz and Paul. As well as crush any Demo that even has the gall and nerve to run. Oh, Uhoo Hillary

Early polling tells you almost nothing about presidential nomination battles, since it ends up almost exclusively telling you about name recognition. Early media buzz is similar. People like to read stories about figures they've already heard of, and it's easier to write stories about politicians you've already covered. But you don't need to be a celebrity to win a nomination, you just need to be known — and liked — by the network of elected officials, operatives, donors, and ideological activists who make up a modern political party. And that's why I think a not-so-famous politician is actually the guy with the best shot at being the GOP's candidate in 2016.

Meet Indiana governor and former House member Mike Pence. Here's why his chances of being the next Republican nominee for president are excellent.

7) Mike Pence backs Reaganesque economics.....snip~

Can't take anything on Vox seriously. They send out more corrections than articles.

If Pence has it like they say he does.....Cruz, and Paul, might want to drop out now. Try and not confuse things so much. No Senators for President this time round. Spread the word and tell the Senators watch what comes out of their Mouths.

Hi MMC:2wave: I like Pence but I don't see it happening. He is a good man though.

A sneak peak into the rhetoric you'll see in 2016. Fun stuff coming our way.

Heya NP.

Either way.....GOP needs to run Governors. Not Senators.....which means Ayotte, Cruz, and Paul are out. They just don't know it yet. ;)

Yeah.....and with many not having any concern about any PC police from the left and all their lil feelings. Fun times, indeed.

Hey there my friend, but I read this as a test article, planted to test the waters. There isn't one reference nor quote of another conservative, no endorsements, iin fact the only quote in the piece is from wiki.

It's pure opinion.

And I have trouble with a US presidential contended named after the smallest coin....

I met Pence once, back before he was somebody. Seemed like a very nice guy.

I definitely prefer Governors to Senators, but it's not a hard and fast rule as being the primary deciding factor.

I still think Haley would make a good candidate on a ticket to some degree

Heya F&L. :2wave: The GOP wanted him to run in 2008 & 2012 against BO peep.

In September 2010, Pence was the top choice for President in a straw poll conducted by the Value Voters Summit.....snip~

Mike Pence to Visit NH as Presidential Speculation Swirls

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will visit New Hampshire next month ahead of a potential run for president in 2016. WMUR reports that Pence, a Republican, will campaign with Walt Havenstein, a Republican candidate for governor of New Hampshire.

A report last week said several members of the GOP are beginning to put Pence's name into the mix of potential presidential candidates, alongside other high-profile governors Chris Christie (New Jersey), Scott Walker (Wisconsin), Bobby Jindal (Louisiana), and Rick Perry (Texas). Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is another possible contender. Pence has appeared at several recent events, which has stoked speculation that he is testing the presidential waters. He visited Iowa earlier this month to attend a meeting of the Midwest-U.S. Japan Association Conference and speak at a fundraiser for Gov. Terry Branstad.

Pence was mentioned as a potential White House candidate in 2008 and 2012, but declined to seek the office.

He has a wife.....doesn't 2 Pence make a shilling.

I had Pence on my short list for McCain's VEEP in 2008 and Romney's VEEP in 2012 and was sad that he didn't end up either time. I really like Pence a lot.

Heya TB.

I am hoping its out of Christie, Jindal, Kasich and Pence......with the Last two Standing as Kasich and Pence.

Although some say Walker is trying to ante up.

The rest of the contenders shown.....might as well as drop out now if the GOP is going to run some of those that actually know how to govern.

I like Kasich & Jindal a lot too. I like Christie, but think he would get eaten alive. Walker too, I think.

Jindal is there due to the Conservative movement and Ideology and will keep the others on their toes. Plus he knows about HealthCare, has a plan that is in the House going thru proper procedures as we don't want the Demos to say they weren't included.

Jindal has ran before so he knows the drill.....myself, I am not to keen on Christie but he will help to stir it up. Perry is to polarizing and has his own troubles with the Demos paintbrush. Walker has no name recognition and no real backing in the GOP and would get eaten alive.

Leaves Pence and Kasich.....with Kasich holding Ohio. Both know how to handle the MS Media too.
