Word is she is making the moves for the dash. She has the cash. What say ye to.....Carly for President?

Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate in California in 2010, is diving back into electoral politics. For now, her work is focused on pushing back against Democrats' claim of a Republican-led "war on women" in the 2014 midterms. But her recent moves in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire have convinced some she's eyeing a bigger prize come 2016.

Fiorina slipped into the Granite State last week to promote her new political group, dubbed UP for "Unlocking Potential." Its mission is to engage women with new messages and combat the gaping gender gap that's hobbling Republicans in races up and down the ballot. In addition to headlining a breakfast last Thursday for more than 200 GOP activists in the business and political spheres, Fiorina attended a GOP gala the night before honoring Joe McQuaid, the conservative publisher of the New Hampshire Union Leader, the state's largest and most influential newspaper.....snip~

Wonder how many women she could get to vote for her? She has ran a business.....think she can take Hillary on?

She would make the perfect GOP standard bearer. She outsourced American jobs to foreign nations and cut at least 18,000 American jobs right here. She is the living breathing symbol of what is wrong with corporate greed.

Please do nominate her.

LOL All she needs is Romney for her running mate and it will be perfect!

I love when successful people from the private sector get involved in politics, we need more people like that. She would be so much better than the current POTUS.

Doctor Ben Carson.

It was clear from her video what her role will be...to hit the purple swing states and engage women. It's clear that Republicans are doing poorly with all other demographics and their only hope is Independent women, first time voters, and non-voting women to swing to the GOP.

Heya Porchev. :2wave: Didn't she get thru some cancer problems? How do you think she would be at debating Hillary?

How about any of the others Front GOP hopefuls like Christie or Paul and Cruz.

She wont have to worry about Jeb Bush.....as Common Core and Dynasty takes him out of the picture.

In 2008, Loren Steffy of The New York Times suggested that the EDS acquisition well after Fiorina's tenure was evidence that her actions as CEO were justified. She was also the First Woman to Head a Fortune 20 company.

I don't see her as Presidential Material.....but she could be a VP if the GOP wanted a Woman.

Yes, she did have cancer. Breast cancer.

I like her, I am glad she is considering running for office. We need more people with successful private sector experience in government, instead of so many people that are career politicians .

I like a lot of Rand's views, and I love Cruz's fearlessness. Christie can be good at times, but I don't think it will work out for him. Jeb Bush is a much better communicator than his brother, but yes there are some definite challenges for him if he runs.

If Carly Fiorina doesn't run of President, she would be a good VP pick.

I didn't know she was Originally from Texas.....always thought she was from California. More moderate like. Her background shows she was an Advisor to Johnny Quest McCain.

The mere fact she crashed the invisible ceiling in the tech sector should have women paying attention.

However....president?

If the GOP is trying for a long shot, which she would be, they are playing with doom. I have a strong suspicion the US is afraid of "outsiders" and their brooms of change and promises of hope. It is my belief they will want to see some success on the hustings and a senate loss is not the foundation of a president.

She is THE best so far choice for VP, especially if she uses a run for the presidency as a vehicle to get the nod. And there is no doubt she is a strong candidate, she already has the banshee left howling about her "alleged" outsourcing of jobs, next will be her clothes...and always the reference she is stupid, has to be, since she's a woman in the Republican Party.

As VP choice, she is an incredible threat to Hillary as this woman rose to high position with performance, Hillary has coat-tailed her way to stardom.

Thank God we have had a Democrat in the White house for about 6 years now and the job drain was completely stopped and all of the jobs are coming home.

Except that they aren't.

And now, even the companies are going elsewhere.

Why do you attack the Republicans when the Democrats are even worse? And THAT'S saying something!

A monkey throwing feces would clear that bar.

Even worse!?!?!?!? i would be happy to look at your data supporting that claim. You mentioned JOBS as the standard. Lets see that.

The PEW Research poll seems to disagree with you.

I looks like the GOP leads the Dems in more demographics than it trails.

There should be an october Surprise coming, though. There always is.

Is this the same Dr. Ben Carson who now supports Ray Rice?
Or the clown who thinks the Earth is 6,000 years old?

Employment Situation Archived News Releases

At all times, there is a certain number of folks working which converts to a certain percent of the population working.

Obama took office in January, 2009.

Today is 5 years, 7 months later. Let's compare using that frequency.

May, 2003

137.5 million working
66.4% of the population

January, 2009
142.1 million working
65.5% of the population

August, 2014
146.4 million working
62.8% of the population.

Almost any metric you care to cite is getting worse for the regular guy. America's median household income continued to rise after Obama took office, but after two years of him working his magic, it started to drop is now about $5000 dollars down from the earlier 2000's.

More in poverty, more who don't own homes, more with higher debt, with less hope with less prospect of making things better for themselves.

Median Household Income History in the United States

The U.S. Census Bureau currently publishes median household income data from 1967 until present day.

2011 121,084,000 $48,545 $51,100
2010 119,927,000 $47,793 $51,892
2009 117,538,000 $48,276 $53,285
2008 117,181,000 $48,762 $53,644
2007 116,783,000 $48,729 $55,627
2006 116,011,000 $46,713 $54,892
2005 114,384,000 $44,951 $54,486
2004 113,343,000 $43,005 $53,891
2003 112,000,000 $42,019 $54,079
2002 111,278,000 $41,137 $54,127
2001 109,297,000 $40,965 $54,766

1999 106,434,000 $39,480 $56,080

How much do Americans earn? What is the average US income and other income figures. Fiscal cliff talks only useful in context of incomes.

Where did income grow?US income growth has been absent for most households. In fact, over the last four decades most of the real income growth has occurred for the top 10 percent of US households:
income-percentile.jpg
The typical family barely saw any real income growth and that is why many feel a true pinch to their wallet. Yet household incomes for earners in the top 10 percent saw real sizeable growth over the last four decades.I’m not sure if Americans are fully aware of these income figures. Let us look at some data from the Social Security Administration:

I don't think she could beat out Condi Rice if Condi jumped in.....I keep telling people to talk to Condi and tell her its time to do it for Country. The American People are looking for Leadership.....not Celebrities.

Condi Rice is too busy being on the NCAAF committee and being a respected college professor, real jobs.
Besides, we already know how the GOP feels about college professors and GOP women who are liberal on social issues.

Whatever happened to that Gov. Haley talk?
And how about Liz Cheney ?

Foreign Affairs/policy is on the front burner at the moment. That would have to take a back seat or the world would have to be a pretty quiet place. I think after the last few months quite a lot of Americans will be looking for someone with foreign policy experience. In that arena Hillary would have a huge advantage. But who knows what events or happenings will be hot come 2016. Six months ago I would have said the ACA is going to be a major issue in this years elections. The ACA now isn't even on the back burner, but is completely off the stove and in the freezer. Who would have thunk.

I don't know, it may boil down to how the economy is doing as to the chances she has. That and the geopolitical situation of the world.
