I'm with you on this one. They should just stop pretending and be honest about it and give 100% to the Dems.

The Republican party has been pretty anti-union since the 80's. It would be like "Pro-Life" groups giving money to the Democratic Party.....whose whole platform is opposite of the mission of Pro-Life groups

    Freddie Mac: Summary | OpenSecrets

Why is Freddie Mac donating to either party? If they're a gov't backed company this smells.

Look at which of our representatives are receiving the most in donations from Freddie Mac.

    This really smells.

Hehe...sorry but no. They are definately out to fill a niche. I think blue and red take a backseat to green for Murdoch but the niche they are filling is definately leaning to the red. They are out to get the most viewers possible.

A niche? I'd call it a crater. I like more than one opinion on issues.

Why would unions support people who try to destroy them? I mean, it seems like a circular question. Unions vote for Democrats because Democrats support unions. The Evangelicals vote Republican because Republicans support issues important to them. Does it bother you that the Republicans have the Evangelical voting block cornered?

Re: News Corp Donations: 58% Democratic, 41% Republican

Union PACs donations are roughly 24% of what democrats receive according to Center for Responsible Politics. Back in 2000 it was 40%

These days business PACS out contribute to democrats over double what the Unions do.

Corporate PACs split their donations roughly 50/50 between the two parties. In 2000 it was 2 to 1 in favor of the Republicans.

In 2010 Business PACS donated 330 million, Unions 69 million.

I suppose some will still continue to bang the anti-Union drum but their traditional support is becoming more figurehead than decisive.
