Hero Worship. It's the same nonsense we see still with the continued glorification of FDR. I would say it is FDR Syndrome,

and ronald reagan, no doubt.
We glorify all of these mofos, from the Founding Fathers, to Lincoln (who was a racist and suspended habeas corpus), to FDR, to Kennedy the Womanizer, etc.
There's definitely a mythological and skewed narrative surrounding a lot of our Presidents, but so little of the real **** gets taught in grade school history.
They cling to reagan because thats all they have..
Hardly - Reagan represents the old guard ideal. Kasich, Rubio, Christie, Ryan, Haley, Rand Paul... yeah, Reagan's all we have. :lamo
need more detail here...what exactly has he lied about? you say he 'continues' to lie...about what? what 'damage' has he done to israel? why should he bother to extend ackminawhackjob's moment in the sun by commenting on what the rest of the world knows already, that the 'leader' of iran has a few screws loose? This is something I ponder quite often. The man has lied since before he was elected and continues to lie. He says things like he believes in Jesus however the "most beautiful sound I have ever heard is the call to prayer"...not the sound of his daughters laughing or The Star Spangled Banner or anything normal, but the call to prayer by Muslems. That is beyond weird to me. he also has done more damage to Israel than any other president and just last week when that freak from Iran was at the United Nations, said nothing about the inflamitory remarks made by that...individual.
Still he is adored...does anyone else find this interesting and confusing?
Like I said ...reagan is all you have
i dare say none of this group could shine reagan's shoesLike I said, Kasich, Rubio, Christie, Ryan, Haley and Rand Paul.

lol....unfortunately for these chumps, they are not wine, and age will not help them any. They're young still. Let's wait and see.

It's not a matter of tea or coffee, it's a matter of freedom or tyranny. Since I like my freedom, I don't like Obama.
How many slaves did you own?I have to pay my debt for 200 years of slavery.

I am sure that sort of sentiment looks very good on a placard. I bet it gets a real response as a bumper sticker. "I like freedom" might even make a good lapel pin.
However, its an empty and hollow cliche devoid of any meaning or distinction.
yeah the support for Obumble was based on deep intellectual examinations of his qualifications
NOT
Hope and Change was the trite BS that the Obamatards swallowed hook line and sinker
I have never seen a more shallow bit of intellectual support for a mass infatuation for a candidate-ever

I pretty much think coolwalker has abandoned this thread. Most posters here have rebuted him point by point, about Ahmadinejad, about Obama's supposed damage to Israel, and about everything he talked about in his original post. Trying to defend his points will only make him look more foolish
I believe you have forgotten what the word "opinion" means...I am entitled to mine and you to yours. You believe yourself to be right, I will simply wait to see what history says and be right in the end. As for being foolish...is Slightly Liberal like being slightly pregnant? As for abandoning the thread, I am simply a busy person.
