Which amendments would you add to the constitution?

The last thing on earth we need are restrictions on governments ability to give you freedom. The reason for the pardon, and the bill of rights and the separation of powers among three branches, and the constitution and all of that was because the founding fathers recognized that the majority would always vote to restrict the rights of minorities over time. Any power inserted into the constitution to insure that the government could give you freedom cannot be abused.

I was referring specifically to felonies (serious crimes) committed during the accused's period of serving in the position. Let me change what I said earlier: the president may not pardon people who have been tried guilty in a violent crime (ex: biden wouldn't be able to be pardoned for murdering or raping someone while he was vice president). NOn violent crimes and violent crimes before the accused took his current position could still be pardoned.

Too bad the USSC has the sole discretion in interpreting the meaning of the words of the constitution and if they consistently disagree with you, then YOU are the one that is wrong.

There is the crux. When a paradigm takes hold, the system does not perform as it was conceived. That is what has happened in a number of societies in the last hundred years with devastating results. Sorrily there are a lot of people that fall prey to the set of beliefs du jour and forget that the Constitution is the only thing that protects them from majority whim. When we allow the USSC to redefine the meaning of a word or allow meaning creep to alter the level and quality of the protection of the citizens instead of changing the Constitution, it is really stupid.

Religious and Moral Freedom

A person's personal religious and moral beliefs are not to be infringed upon by militant groups or individuals. Screw their agendas.

Personal Responsibility

A citizen's safety is their own, and they accept and take all and full responsibility for any actions they take that may lead to any damage to themselves or others. They do not have the right to sue if they do not use reasonable caution. Reasonable caution example being NOT sticking your hand under a running lawn mower then suing because your hand got cut off. You did not observe reasonable caution when you stuck your hand under a running lawn mower, or stuck your head in a running wood chipper. No one is responsible for what happens to you in these cases but yourself.

Internet Funding Reform

Individuals who give money to internet sites, and are later banned from those sites are entitled to a pro rated refund of their money. Any reoccurring monies are also to be stopped and refunded. You should not have a site keep your money without being able to enjoy that site.

No government ever gives you freedom. You're born with it. All any government can do is take it away.

1.) we already have that
2.) oooo this one I like!!!
I dont think its "amendment" worthy nor would I want it as an amendment but i completely agree that there needs to be some curtailing of the sue happy country.

3.) again not amendment worthy but it seems interesting. Do you have a specific example because usually stuff like that is handled when you agree to terms and services and "IN GENERAL" just thinking of the top of my head i have no problem with that unless a company was caught being really shady about it.

Abortion shall not exist within the United States, nor any place subject to their jurisdiction, except in cases of life-saving medical necessity.

luckily in a country that has a constitution, rights and freedoms and also respects legal, human and equal rights like ours this will NEVER come to pass thank god.

I would add these:

28th: US territories now have the right to vote

29th: the president may not pardon anyone who is convicted of a felony which was committed during their term.

30th: no victimless crimes

31st: no entrapment

those sound very very trivial for sure.
1st : a balanced budget amendment to instantly eliminate 50% of all the turmoil in Washington.
2nd : an amendment to limit govt size to 15% of GDP to instantly eliminate the remaining turmoil generated in Washington.
3rd : an amendment to always maintain a military capable of defeating our 2 largest enemies simultaneously
4th : a world peace and prosperity amendment to recognize that the before mentioned can only be obtained if the world adopts our superior values, thus requiring America to peacefully spread its Republican family, religious, social, and economic values.

repeal the 16th and 17th amendments. Add an amendment saying Congress shall not evade any laws applicable to other citizens. and finally, the federal government shall make no laws nor regulations concerning the right of the people to keep, bear, possess, buy and sell any firearm

i would also add,

all laws must be a creation by elected members of the house

all laws not expressly delegated within this constitution shall remain the powers of the states

Congress shall approve or strike down all new regulations from regulatory agencies before they are applied as administrative law. All current regulations must be voted upon every 10 years as a pass or repeal measure.

Regulation has become a maze and way too many people in Washington make a living by navigating the maze, making it harder, or making it easier depending on who they represent.

certainly the best new amendment would be one that clarified what the Constitution, namely, that the entire purpose is to keep govt tiny on the theory that big govt is the source of evil in human history.

I take it you're a conservative. no?

There is no other way to world peace-right?
