A "TRUE" American

A "TRUE" American

If being a soulless face on American political news stations is the paramount definition of being a "true" American, then count me out. These people are mostly faking it in order to be on television. It's an act. They largely are in on the joke, while the average American watching them is not.

Turn off the tube, give up your celebrity worship, and read a book. You might save yourself from utter ruination.

Re: A "TRUE" American

The "True American" is usually someone the person proffering the example agrees with in every way. And the example is usually a superficial aping of what are supposedly American ideals.

Even the greatest "Real American" has fallen into ill repute these days. But when my kids were little I sat them down in front of the TV and made them watch the video for 7 hours a day, for a year straight so that they'd know what it is to be a Real American.
