But the "typical" part of the definition allows for unintentional irony, which (since you forgot) was your original implication. In contrast, I did not forget the unintentional variation, and any claim that Mad Libs ever make "serious" statements-- like, "it's just coincidence that the Democrats launched all these lawfare cases during an election year"-- is unintentional irony on their parts.
