One day there will be a game like this but filled with procdurally generated NPCs, running their dialogue through a specialized ChatGPT AI and their lines performed by AI generated Text-To-Speech and some percentage of the world's population will be lost forever inside it.

My older brother has already spent large amounts of real world money on something like this - I think it's "second life" but yes, I can see your scenario happening someday.
