The Evil Empire with a 200+ million dollar payroll (50% greater than the Mets who have the second highest payroll) and they STILL can't make the playoffs. I LOVE IT!

AS a Devils fan this is rather funny...

I remember when the marlins kicked thier asses in the WS I was in Miami and everyone was like "you are a northerner and you are a yankee fan"

I had fun telling them how wrong they were.

They payed less in payroll than the yankees did in fines.....

The Rays total payroll is just a little more than that of Alex (A-Fraud) Rodriguez and they are doing their darndest to hold off the Boston Red Sox. I am a Sox fan, but they deserve credit for what they are doing, even if the Sox pass them in the end (which I expect they will.)

And it looks like Joe Torre has managed the Dodgers back to the NL West champs (provided they hold onto their lead) and gotten them back in the playoffs.

Considering how pathetic the NL Worst is, that really shouldn't have been too hard. It didn't become a reality until Manny came to town. Perhaps it is more accurate to say Manny powered the Dodgers to the NL Worst crown.

In the playoff's, its pitching that really counts. That is when things get interesting.

On that note, the Dodgers added Maddux and have a brand new kid who is damn good and winning his starts.

Batting in front of Manny, this other guy Ethier is tearing it up.

Bullpen is a concern, however. Very inconsistent.
