Congrats Wings on winning the Stanley Cup, you deserve it. |

Pens are a great team, but as I said...it's the East. What hurt the Pens is that they had no legitimate team to challenge them on the way to the Stanley. Wings had to play some decent teams and good goalies. Eventually Turco got negated. Pens just whipped through a conference where no team was even close to their caliber, and Crosby had more help on his team than Ovechkin did. |

The myth of a ton of obstruction was just that, a myth. I was more upset about the stupid goaly interference things....
Speaking of goalies, was it just me, or was Fluery possibly the best player on the ice for either team? I really think it was a 4 game sweep with any goaly but Fluery. That kid is just unreal, and so young.
I don't think I have been as excited watching hockey as I have been the last two games. Both where just incredibly exciting, and the ratings are showing that alot of people seem to agree. That has to be good for the league. |

It was exciting and was good for the league. That's pretty good considering that this series had better stats than pre-strike. That's really amazing considering that the NHL is no longer on a mainstream sports network like ESPN and now has the majority of their big games on an obscure outdoor network.
The Pens are very young & will likely get back.
They couldn't have even had champagne in the locker room legally! |

| Crosby has become the Anna Kournikova of the ice and, quite frankly, most hockey fans love to see the Wings lose. I've talked to many hockey fans, and it seems damn near unanimous that if you're not a Wings fan, you hate them to the point of obsession, comparible to what a Bronx native thinks about the BoSox.
I guarantee that tons of people tuned in to see the next Gretzky beat the "Dead Things" (as I've heard so many times). |

Now that I think of it, I've always kinda leaned Blackhawk myself. Sid's good for the league. I'm sure I know who Bettman was rooting for. |
