The Lakers have a much tougher road to hold though to set up a matchup with the Celtics. I still don't think they will get through SA, but we shall see.
People have said that the Cs are lucky to be in the east, but they have beaten many of the top Western teams TWICE, including the Lakers, and they did win in San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas in a four day stretch. That hasn't been done in something like eight years.
I am a Celtics fan, so I am excited about the return of the Green, but we don't have any proven winners in the second season. They are all unselfish - the regular season has shown that - but can they win together. We shall know in a few weeks. |

Current Mood: | Re: NBA Playoffs I've gotta say that this year's playoffs are exciting to watch. I can't remember a year with so many good teams and great players as we have this year. The West is exciting to watch because of how closely the top 7 teams are record wise and who expected the Hawks to take two from the Celtics? Orlando has peaked at the right time and Chris Paul is absolutely amazing. The NBA has no shortage of stars right now and the future looks brighter and brighter for the league every day. I'm disappointed that my team (Pacers) have fallen on their face, but the league as a whole is a lot more fun to watch.

Wait 'till you see us next year when we have Bynum and Ariza in the rotation. |

Although, much respect to Chris Paul. I said long ago that he was MVP back when most people were doing their LeBron vs. Kobe banter. I hope to see them in the finals, as they deserve it most.

It will be the Lakers vs Celtics in the finals.
And Kobe will win MVP. |

Current Mood: | Re: NBA Playoffs I simply do not see the Lakers winning the West, and if Boston doesn't kick it in gear we may not even see Boston in the East finals. I'd be rather depressed if they had to go 7 games with a team that went 37-45 in the regular season. |
