I know nothing about basketball. I've never watched so much as a single game on TV. So... I'll name all the players I've heard of in order of how good they must be based upon how many times I've heard their names:
1. Michael Jordan - Bulls, Wizards... and... Magic?
2. Wilt Chamberlain - No idea.
3. Magic Johnson - Lakers.
4. Shaquille O'Neal - Magic and Lakers?
5. Larry Bird - Celtics.
6. Charles Barkley - No idea.
7. Patrick Ewing - Knicks.
8. Isaiah Thomas - No idea. He was famous 'cause he was short, right?
9. Scottie Pippen - Bulls and Lakers?
10. LeBron James - Nuggets? He got drafted by some team that sucked.
11. Carmelo Anthony - No idea.
12. Some really tall Asian guy, not sure what team he's on but he makes a pretty decent American Express commercial.
13. Dennis Rodman - To be fair I've heard his name enough that he could be around #8 on this list but I get the impression that he had like one or two good seasons and the rest of his fame is based upon his being a total psycho.
14. There's one guy who was in the news recently for supposedly raping some random lady in a hotel room. Turned out she was lying or something. I want to say it was Scottie Pippen. If so he's already on this list. If it's not Scottie Pippen then he looks like Scottie Pippen... and his name might start with a K. Kanye West is coming to mind but I'm pretty sure that guy's a crazy rapper and not a basketball player.
Additional teams I've heard of: Pistons... and... uh... Hornets. Bullets. I think the Bullets and the Wizards are the same team. But for some reason I also think the Wizards and the Magic are the same team. Dallas... Stars? I think that might be a hockey team but then I'm pretty sure that the North Stars are from Minnesota and it's unlikely there'd be two hockey teams called the Stars. But then there's the Minnesota Wild. Maybe the Wild are the basketball team. But then who's from Dallas? Maybe the Wild is a soccer team. Sounds like a soccer team. The Blast, The Fire, The United, The Wild...
Oh wait, and the Cavaliers. I've heard of the Cavaliers. And the Mavericks. I think that's a team. Unless I'm having Top Gun flashbacks. And uh...
