NHL playoffs thread...eh?

My Team: Pens

Cup Winner: ...likely the Sharks or the Wings, whoever comes out of the West really.

Likely Stanley Cup winner...Anahiem at a guess, as long as Pronger does not act his usual self and get a few too many games suspended...though I wonder if there is like a negative karma associated with having Bertuzzi on your team that might bring them down...I can hope anyway.

The pens could do it, and are my pick to win the East, but I really don't see any of the eastern teams winning the cup.

Detroit, San Jose and Dallas I could all see as possibles, though less likely than Anahiem. Injuries are going to kill Detroit, San Jose is just not there yet(though a good offseason, and I think they dominate the league nest year), and Dallas just does not have the depth.

Well TSM, we should have a side bet since I live in Ottawa. Our Sens are not as good this year, but who knows? Upsets happen all the time.

Having said that, I'm truly a Habs girl. Been a fan the moment I exited mom's womb, so it's nice to see that they have taken the division.

It really depends on the usual though: goaltending.

Usually when the Wings win the Prez cup, they start choking in the playoffs. However, I got this feeling that Hasek is going to continue on his path and pull it out. I miss Legace, but I think Dommy will do what he needs to do.

Beware the Rags.

They will defeat the Pens, if they meet in later IMO. I think their goaltending is really underrated.

I don't see the Devs giving the Rags too much of a test (sorry Rev. HH).

The Habs are tough, I don't see the Pens making it passed them either.

Surely, the Pens will be kicking themselves in the *** for tanking the final game of the season on purpose if they happen to face Montreal later in the PO's.

The Sens are too beat up to compete, sorry. I couldn't imagine the Pens losing Sid, Gino and Staal & still be at playoff level.

The Habs are great this year. Saku Koivu is an all time Pen killer & an amazing individual. We have so much respect for his for all he's accomplished on and off the ice. He's a really amazing dude.

Why hasn't Kovalev- or we called him lovingly: AK-27, ever has a 100 goal season yet?
