Why dont Americans like soccer.

If there is one thing that unites anger at America from the rest of the world Its the disregard of soccer.Is it because it cant be dominated by one country?

Its one of the few sports where height and strength mean nothing compared to skill.American sports are tend to suck how can you call it the world series when the vast majority of the world doesent wanna play?

To compare soccer is like sex and American sports are masturbation.Its pleasing yourself because you cant please others.

Winning the world cup really means something because the players can come from the slums of Brazil to the upper of the upper class.It doesent matter who you are or where you come from there arent college scholarships.Its the beautiful game.

My basic opinion is Americans value; intensity, physicallity and violence over skill, imagination and rhythm.

I've always noticed how no American sports actually go for more than about a minute without a break. That drives me crazy! Good games ebb and flow to a rhythm.

Whoever invented the "time out" in America should die a painful death.

Really? You say your from Scotland, but you contend it's the Americans who value violence over skill. Have you ever met any Scottish people? I'd ask if you've ever drank with any Scottish people, but it's the same question.

Scottish football is some of the most physical around, I think to our detriment. That said there are far less fights in the SPL than in any American sport.

We're gradually going to learn how to play like civilised Europeans though.

Soccors one of those games that's fun to play but boring to watch. I personally can't sit down infront of a t.v and watch soccor without passing out from boredom but i don't know about other Americans.

There's less fights...on the green...Americans barely ever fight in the stands. It's a real rareity.
