I know I do. Its simply amazing to watch these guys perform feats of amazing strength.
I really enjoy watching Mariusz Pudzianowski(certainley a mispelling) because he is going to end up being the most dominant strongman ever, once all is said and done. I also like Magnus Samuelson, because he is getting to be one of the older guys there, but he always finds a way to make it to the finals and compete. I am also interested in the development of the young American Kevin Nee, who was the youngest ever competitor at a WSM contest, and made it to the finals this year(although he was clearly outclassed in the finals).

How come every other competitor is named "Magnus"?

Usually in the prelims, whatever country is hosting gets to place a competitor as well. I remember when they had the competition in China. The strongman representing China could barely complete any of the drills. |

But so far he's been beating a bunch of bums up in a smaller MMA organization. I'd like to see him in the UFC against top level fighters. I'll take Noguiera over Kimbo 7 days out of the week right now.
But that beard is bad-***. |

A smaller organization without any of the worlds top talent(as seen with him fighting wash-up Tank Abbot, somebody who has won once, in like his last 9 fights).
I'd love to see Kimbo Slice in the UFC soon. I think he has potential, but his MMA experience thus far has been relegated to smaller promotions fighting washed up bums and unknowns.
Either way, he's a tough ****ing dude. I just don't know how he would handle the grappling of Noguiera, the all around skills of Fedor, or even Tim Sylvia. Those guys are a huge step up from Tank Abbot. |
