i used to collect over 25 years ago, but sold off a large part of my collection years back.

lately i looked at what i have left and have a few with some value, while i am starting to buy more again but sticking with cards from the 50's to 1989 and nothing after that.

anyone else collecting

I used to have a really good collection of Baseball cards from the 50's to the early 80's. Unfortunately, the majority of the collection was stolen several years ago. I still buy cards on occasion as a gee whiz kind of thing but I'm no longer a collector.

I do have a few pieces of memorabilia including a large autographed pic of Sandy Koufax and a Willie Mays signed jersey. I've also got a couple of balls. One has Jim Rice and Greg Nettles signatures while the other is a White Sox team ball including Tom Seaver and Carlton Fisk signatures.

From Jim Murray, Sportswriter for Los Angeles Times on Sandy Koufax:

"Sandy's fastball was so fast, some batters would start to swing as he was on his way to the mound."

I like that!

Yes

I have a room in my house dedicated to sports memorabilia

I have complete sets of Topps from 61 to 86 when I stopped doing card sets

I bought only rookie cards since then, and mainly stayed with Topps, but did some from fleer, and donruss

I also have a number of autographed balls, bats, posters, etc

A lot of the extra stuff I have is from the cardinals....which is my favorite team, and has been since I saw my first game in 1965

Does Magic the Gathering count? I have about 11,000 MTG cards valued pretty high.

I remember working at a convenience store as a teenager and there where some folks coming in very interested to buy up all of a certain brand of our baseball cards. I bought some too, since they included this one:

I have a small stack of football cards from the 70's and a smaller stack of baseball cards from the same era. Then I have some hockey cards from the 90's.

damn man... I'm sorry to hear that. I hate a thief so much. I've had my home broken into 3 times in my life. It's a hard thing to get over.

12 Tom brady rookies.......various....... some Michigan cards also.
Peyton Manning Rookie
A few Derek Jeter's..... no rookie
A small fortune of Dale Earnhardt cards........including 2 of the 24 Karat.

Have complete Topps baseball sets from 1978 through 1993 (which was right around the time collecting baseball cards because such an "industry," everything devalued).

My highlights are rookie cards from Bob Gibson, George Brett and a couple rookie Brett Hull hockey cards.

2nd best highlight was selling my mint Mark McGwire rookie card in 1999 to a businessman for $1,000 who KNEW the card would be worth three times that much. ...Currently, I think it's worth $15 or so.

Depending on the card and condition, they can be from 6.50 to 1900.00
