Sorry, but it's the haters (not that haters will acknowledge it). You care a bunch more about what's going on with my team, than your own. I think we can all pretty much agree that I am perfectly unbiased in this analysis but in the event you want to challenge my flawless argument, I'm attaching a poll.

Cowboy fans are the most obnoxious, arrogant, over-valuing fans there are.

I know someone who became a Patriots fan because they were winning super blows. Up until a couple years ago he didn't care for football at all but he acts like a life long fan. Does he have a Patriots bumper sticker on his hybrid SUV? Noooo. He's got a Cowboys star with the red line through it that he had to make himself. Obnoxious, I tell ya.
 
The Cowboys haven't been relevant for nearly 20 years. They lost the title of America's team to the New England Patriots.

Cowboys fans are obnoxious because they think they are still relevant. They are not. It is more amusing watching Jerry Jones make mistake after mistake and running his team in an Al-Davis fashion.

When did I say the Cowboys didn't have haters? Try reading comprehension.

A team needs to have success to have a lot of haters and the Cowboys.... haven't won in a long time.

A few points:

I acknowledge I am obnoxious. That makes your post wrong, as usual.
My "own team" is the Lions. Not caring about the Lions is a sign of intelligence.
There really are Cowboy fans in this day and age? That strikes me as odd.
Cowboy haters do not really care about the Cowboys, they care about laughing at their fans.
Cowboy quarterbacks are about as accurate as a stormtrooper...

This is precisely the problem. Cowboy's fans THINKS everyone gives a **** about their team. Talk about bull****.

I rarely bring the Cowboys up to anyone but they sure get brought up to me.
 
When I was a kid I used to hate the Cowboys because too often they came between my team and an NFC championship, maybe even a Super Bowl victory.

Later, my son chose a team to root for .. and of all the teams .. the Cowboys, back in the heyday of Troy, Michael and Emmet.

So I let him convert me.

I guess I can understand a sense of vengeance and grudge-holding by fans of teams whom the successful Cowboys consistently thumped.

Today, the Cowboys have their struggles. My son still loves them .. and sometimes bemoans them. And I root for them, too.

But I tend to get "oh well, another loss, another losing year" morbid, and I don't trump up arguments about how good they "really" are and were and how many rings they have and all to compensate me emotionally.

I just accept that I can't help picking them to win a game and that doing so will likely cost me another point in this site's NFL pick 'em thread and I just can't help myself.

Years ago the Cowboys were almost always good, and they play on every Thanksgiving. Having both got them a lot of haters, AND a lot of fans on the national level. But they are no longer good. Jones has really ruined what use to be a good, solid, winning tradition.

Now when I watch them I sit there and KNOW they will figure out a way to LOSE the game instead how they will win it. Now a days thanks to Jones they have a losing tradition, not a winning tradition. So they don't have as many fans, or haters anymore.
 
I don't think anyone hates the Cowboys anymore, it's more pity.

I am a 49ers fan. Been so since 1979. Even when the 9ers were losing the Super Bowl to Dallas in the early 90's I didn't hate the Cowboys. Probably because I was a UCLA fan and liked Aikman. I hate the Giants and the Panthers. Only two that I actually dislike. And Cam? Don't get me started on that ****ing clown. And Manning? Worst Super Bowl winning QB? Gotta be close. I was rooting for the Cowboys last week 100%. Bummer loss. Hate the Giants ever since 1990 when they won play off games and the Super Bowl with ****ing field goals.

Football here is soccer... there is Aussie Rules football which is a lot like rugby.
