pretty much says it all about who is relevant

Your theory has already been debunked lol!

Patriots beat Cowboys for 'best' fans, researcher says - NFL.com

The New England Patriots have the best fans in football.

This is the finding of Emory University professor Mike Lewis, who rated fan bases on tangible measures of obsession, like game attendance and social media following. According to the analytics study, Lewis attempted to take a cold hard look at something that is difficult to quantify.

Well Steelers are my favorite of course, Home team.
Dallas is my second because of two of my brothers.

Anyway I can only answer based on my experience, I have met worse fans that I have haters. A couple fans I know really dont even know football. But my experience my not be fair. i live in Pittsburgh. True hating of dallas doesnt really seem to go on here. We hate the teams in our division lol

SO in other parts of the country Id bet haters are worst because of dallas's history of success back in the day I just dont know those people.

Sorry, but it's the haters (not that haters will acknowledge it). You care a bunch more about what's going on with my team, than your own. I think we can all pretty much agree that I am perfectly unbiased in this analysis but in the event you want to challenge my flawless argument, I'm attaching a poll.

Hard to say...Dallas sort of brought it on themselves with this "America's Team" garbage. Who the **** declared them that anyway?

Why they are hated? One word: Jerry Jerry Jerry....

Why those who hate them with such passion are off the hook? Storied franchise with solid history and success. How can you hate a team that gave us Staubach, Pearson, Too Tall, Golden Richards, Hill, Aikman (who, btw, along with Buck, is part of the best TV broadcast crew I have ever seen or heard, and that includes Madden and Summerall--less gimmicky commentary and much better play by play), M. Irving and, of course, Emmitt?

Even those hating them for success is over the top. They have sucked for ten years. Cowboys today are almost a non-entity---for which we can blame Jerry Jerry Jerry....

NFL films declared them that. It wasn't a moniker they came up with themselves

If you do not recognize that the Cowboy's even have haters then it's likely it's because you are one.
Oh, we understand that NFL teams all have their haters. But that doesn't change the fact that the Cowboys have been irrelevant for a long time.
As a former long term Cowboy fan it is just a little sad to see the once proud franchise fall to this level. The owner (forgot his name) made his bed with picks such as Deon Saunders and gushing over average Tony Romo. Things may improve now that they have a decent quarterback.

Glad you're a "former fan".

you treat opinions as facts

the fact is that the one team people care to watch over any other is the Dallas Cowboys.

Well, I was simply talking about factual success on the field, not success in a popularity contest. But, yeah, there is a Harris poll that indicated that last year the Cowboys were most popular after being in 4th place the year before. Will have to wait a month to find out how they currently rate.

I think you are full of it, but I'll play along

they are one season removed from being one of the better teams in the NFL from an on the field success stand point.

When you think about the fact that the Bears have been to a Superbowl more recently than the Cowboys. Then you gotta cringe when people say how great the Boys are.

Teams worth hating have to be relevant. So, hating the Patriots or Steelers makes sense for anyone who is a fan of the other AFC teams. NFC fans of lesser teams hate the Packers and Seahawks.

Hating on Dallas is more habit than anything else, I guess. Giants would be worth hating, but their two recent SB victories came at the expense of Brady and Belichick's Patriots...so all is forgiven.

oh, so now it is about greatness, not relevancy.

keep those goal posts moving gentleman. you might eventually find a winner!

??

I'm just saying the Cowboys have been a joke ever since Aikman, Emmit and Irving retired. There's a reason Tony is called "Oh No."

I'm trying to remember if I've ever actually hated an entire football team. Maybe the Eagles but that was when they had Michael Vick.

What do the post office and the Cowboys have in common?

Neither delivers on Sunday!

I have actually seen a mail truck delivering packages on a Sunday, so there.

I liked when they beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl, but I also enjoyed the two times the Giants beat them.

Can't say I was disappointed to see Pete Carroll blow that call at the end of SB 49.
