It begins. Rams on the Clock...

Gee, I wonder who the Eagles will pick. Foolish for both them and the Rams to move up, imo.

According to what I heard today, Rams have a solid team but no QB. So, if this kid from Cal is for real, it may really pay off for a new team in LA.

Whatever the case, Goff is going to be a very wealthy young man.

Philly? Man, they haven't made a good move since losing that SB with TO.

I guess his dad played a little MLB, so I think that probably bodes well for his confidence. I heard he threw 5 interceptions in one game and had a losing record in college, so I wouldn't be selling the farm to get him like the Rams did, but who knows, maybe they'll be able to work with him.

They have some great players with Quinn, Donald, and Gurley, but they lost a lot of depth this offseason. I'm not sure Goff will be enough to make up for that. I'm biased though and hope they crash and burn.

Understandable.

OSU's Bosa goes #3 to SD. Good pick, IMO.

Great draft for the Buckeyes so far.

Bears move up the draft, take Leonard Floyd... and many Bears fans are pissed. I'm kinda ok with it. I wish the team didnt have to give up a 4th round pick for him though.

It's hilarious how Goodell is getting booed every time he comes out.

I find it funny that the Texans and Redskins traded picks.. and still picked the same guys they would have.

So much for Kaepernick...I can see the Broncos letting Sanchez start and see where they go. if they are playoff bound he stays in. If the are 500, they will move in the new kid around week 12 and get him some game experience. Seems kind of a weird play though.

Good pick for the Bills, there was no way I thought Lawson would be there at 19... :)

Tim-

Why do you say that?

Just my opinion, but the running game is more dependent on good line play then on good running back play. I'd never draft a running back in the first round myself. I'd get one that can pass block and catch the ball in rounds 3-5 and never resign him no matter how good they are.

Why do you say that?

Yeah, unless he ends up being an Emmitt Smith level back it just seems like the Cowboys needed help at a lot of other positions besides RB. There problem last year wasn't so much their running game, but their lack of a defense(and obviously a Tony Romo injury). I just don't understand why it's so hard for teams to understand that Defense wins championships.

Big winners last Night:

Average QB's picked one and two
Buckeyes
Bengals, who IMO picked a pretty decent C-Back late
Whoever picked that pot guy--Dolphins.
Jaguars, but watch them screw up even though they picked the best athlete in the draft

Losers:
Idiot teams who picked average QB one and two
Cowboys....who really did not need a solid RB like Elliot as much as they needed some D...and, a new owner.
Broncos--not really--but hanging your hat on Lynch is still a loser move.

Every time Goodell opens up his mouth lately he screws up. I doubt, I HOPE, he didn't mean how this came out, but man he sounds like an amateur sometimes. He opens his mouth and constantly inserts his foot.

He said about the Tunsil situation: “I think it's all part of what makes the draft so exciting"

Tunsil's account is hacked, and released minutes before the draft. He's sitting there humiliated, his life is turned upside down, and Goodell finds that 'exciting'.

I know Goodell makes the owners a lot of money. But damn, eventually they got to see he's been more problems than he's worth. If a commissioner is doing a good job, he would be basically invisible. But because Goodell is such an idiot he's constantly in the news, for all the wrong reasons.

Patriots looking at Dom Trady QB. Interesting move, not heard of him before tonight.

Why do you say that?

McFadden was 4th in the NFL in rushing yards last year and the Cowboys as a team were 5th.

Obviously he's not a long term solution but the Cowboys have to be in win now mode and this was not a win now pick.

I like the Lions draft so far, all linemen. It's not sexy, but I believe it's the winning formula. This is a nice first step for our new GM, who formerly worked for the Patriots.
