Whoops, Curt Schilling Did it Again

Schilling is a bitter old fool. And too stupid to read and understand what the contract that HE SIGNED says.

That's all.

No, he was just foolish enough to say something while white.

This is a prime example of why it is utterly ridiculous to look up to athletes.

My experience has been that star athletes are more childish, more selfish and more stupid then most people.

Look up to their athletic accomplishments and NOTHING ELSE unless they earn that extra respect.

Guess what? Rob Parker was suspended and later terminated for that quote.

You really haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about.

If so, good. What he said about RG3 was a million times worse than anything Schilling shrilled.

True that.

Stop. You've really lost it on this issue.

All these morons that think Obama, or anyone is the Antichrist simply because of politics can go straight to hell.

He was a sports announcer and did sports. Him and the rest in sports need to stick to sports, simple as that. Most are too stupid to give an opinion on anything else anyway.

Wait until they start with the Hillary stuff. Misogyny in this country is 10x worse than racism. Women haters come in all political stripes. Racists not so much.

lol...looks like Curt will soon be following Ditka out the ESPN door. Maybe they should start their own sports network. I suspect quite a few sports fans are sick of ESPN's PC nonsense. Well, there 's always Fox.

Apparently not.

Fox Sports: Curt Schilling Approached Us, But We Passed

When he isn’t sharing ****ty Facebook memes and complaining about people scolding him for sharing ****ty Facebook memes, former ESPN baseball analyst Curt Schilling is looking for a job. Fox Sports, the most obvious destination, doesn’t want him.

Last Friday, I asked Fox Sports if they were talking to Schilling about joining in some capacity, since a company currently stocking its kennel of hot-takers with diseased, three-legged dogs like Colin Cowherd, Jason Whitlock, and Skip Bayless seemed like a good fit. A spokesperson said that Schilling had reached out, but that the network declined:

We were approached by Curt’s camp this week and passed. We’re very happy with the group we have working baseball this season.
Fox Sports’ current lead MLB booth is Joe Buck and John Smoltz.

Curt Shilling defines the phrase "Million dollar arm and a 5 cent head".

So a guy who declared bankruptcy just a few years ago is out of a job, with little future prospects for a job because he couldn't STFU about his politics. Even though he's been warned, and suspended in the past about what he should say, and shouldn't say. He didn't throw away a minimum wage job, he threw away a damn good job. That makes him dumb enough to think about going into politics again.

He's also out of a documentary.

lol...ESPN needs to hire Stalin's airbrush artist.

"They sent out memos, 'Listen, we want our sports people on-air talent to stick to sports, stay away from politics and all the other stuff.' ... The next thing, Stephen A. Smith tells the world Robert Griffin can't play quarterback for the Redskins because he is black, not because he sucks, which it was because he sucks. Then you got [Dan] Le Batard and you got Tony Kornheiser comparing the Tea Party to ISIS. So, I think what the memo meant to say was 'If you're not liberal and you're not a Democrat, do not stray from sports.' So they did that and it happened again. And I kept trying to explain to them, I get it, to some extent, but I'm not doing this openly and outwardly anymore. This is something I'm commenting on. The other piece that really jumped out at me was, people would talk — you know the green room where everybody hangs out. It's the ESPN version of the locker room. A lot of times people would be like, they would come up to me and whisper, 'Hey man, I'm with ya, I'm a Republican,' as if we were the secret card-carrying members of some group that couldn't be, that 'those who shall not be named.' The inclusiveness is inclusive as long as you are pointing in the same direction they are."

I have major issue with ESPN for various reasons. I'll list them.. 1) Penn State coverage, 2) Hypocrisy and 3) Disney owned.

1) ESPN did a hit job on Joe Pa cause it was a rating's grab. Much like the Bernie Fine story.

2) Advances certain agendas such as LBGT community such as Bruce Jenner yet has the ability to give awards to Pat and Kevin Tillman 13 years earlier. Meaning ESPN seeks profit (not that I am against it) but have a stable message. Lauren Hill, Mo'ne Davis and Noah Galloway achieves advances in society and ESPN ignored them.

ESPN is gonna go bankrupt...

They just cut Chris Carter and Ray Lewis. Both stepped outside of the PC box recently. So...no real surprise there.

Report: Ray Lewis and Cris Carter out at ESPN | ProFootballTalk

I can't think of a time, but I can think of a time when a good percentage of the population didn't cry about it so much. Oh my god, he is being so mean! I would like things a lot more if people just said what was on their mind instead of trying to play it safe to not offend liberals.

What are you, Mr. Affirmative Action for jerks? "JERKS NEED JOBS TOO!"

Now that's PC.

Schilling didn't say anything offensive on the air. He didn't say it during an interview while wearing an ESPN blazer, he didn't write it on an ESPN blog or on their website. He simply retweeted a picture on his own, private feed.

Liberals should actually be as appalled at this affront on free speech as the conservatives who support Curt. You all would be completely freaking out if ESPN fired people for making pro-gay comments.

This has absolutly nothing to do with the right of free speech.

Yeah but THATS different. Its ALWAYS different.

We know it has nothing to do with the government infringing on free speech. So, it is not a First Amendment issue. But, it most certainly does have a lot to do with free speech in general.

What happened to Schilling is, without question, an affront to freedom of expression. Like I said, you all would lose your **** if companies began firing people for participating in Gay Pride events or writing something positive about Bernie Sanders on their Facebook. You're just OK with this because you disagree with what Schilling says.

Or, are you going to deny that?

ESPN decided it would hurt their company. I personally disagree with what he said but in all actuality, I don't give a rats ass about what he said. Get all bent out of shape about it all you want, I didn't fire him nor did I participate in any way to have him fired.

You keep saying the same thing over and over. What you ALWAYS leave out is Schilling had a history, he was suspended for it in the past, he was warned..

People who have non-pubic jobs are warned about being careful about what they post on social media. They are told if post something offensive it may cost them their jobs. Same with Schilling. Twitter is NOT a 'private feed' nowadays. Private feed?? Nothing 'private about Facebook or Twitter.
