Jeter for Trump VP?

1.) He has the right sounding name.

2.) He would be the perfectly suited VP for Trump. Why not combine politics, reality TV, and sports? It's the trifecta!

*sigh*

End of the world party in Vegas, who's in?

i'd say that a pro wrestler would be more appropriate, but i wouldn't want to subject any particular pro wrestler to this level of guilt by association. therefore, Trump should be his own VP.

Once he's safely in the White House and doesn't have to worry about Ted he'll change the Constitution to allow non native born to be President, fire whomever his running mate was and appoint Melania his VP.

And then he'll put his sister the judge on the SC.

Is Jessie Ventura available? Pro wrestler...check. Governor of Minnesota...check.

What could go wrong with that pairing?

Trump should pick Caitlyn Jenner- she has a resemblance to Sarah Palin.

One comment about Jeter the Cheater. He is the most over rated player to ever play the game. Alan Tramell, the MVP of the 1984 World Series, and long time Detroit Tiger shortstop will probably not make it into the HOF. His longevity and stats numbers are right up there with Jeter's, and he had much more range at shortstop than jeter. But, Trammell was not loud spoken, he was not a pretty boy, he never played for the yankees, he never dated super models, and he never appeared in an episode of Seinfeld as jeter did. It seems that getting into the Hall requires a bit more than just being one of the all time greats at your position. Unfortuately, jeter will probably make it on the first ballot.

Jeter has 1000 more hits, a 25 point higher lifetime BA and 300 more RBI. He didn't have spectacular range but he was an incredibly smart player with an excellent glove. To call Jeter "overrated" is absurd.

"Absurd" is a little too strong of a word don't you think? True, jeter was a little better hitter, but we are talking SHORTSTOPS here, so, fielding should weigh in heavily as determining who was the better shortstop. You even admit that jeter did not have the range of Trammell. Some of these ratings are voted on by a committee or fans such as all star placement and HOF entry and don't really reflect the player's true ability. Add in jeter's following by the new your sport's press and his pretty boy persona and he suddenly takes an advantage. Fielding should be the main consideration when comparing Trammell to jeter. OPS for shortstops is .749 and Trammell's was .767. Average wOBA is .303 and Trammell's was .343. The Total Zone statistic for Trammell was 80 and Jeter's was -120. Trammell had a negative in only 5 out of 20 seasons whereas jeter had a negative in 17 out of 20 seasons. Trammell's defensive WAR is tied with Honus Wagner at 184.4 whereas jeter's in last place among shortstops at -25.7. During his career, jeter cost the yankees 67.8 runs which means that he was one of the worst shortstops in the game. The fact that jeter would be in the HOF before Trammell is "absurd!"
