Another great sports personality has died from cancer, Johan Cruijff died from lung cancer.
Cruijf was a much loved player coach from both his first love Ajax and his second love Barca. He will be remembered like one of the greatest players ever.
He was the player that typifies the great Dutch technically skilled soccer player.
His death is big news in the Netherlands, we knew his time was going to be short, his kind of cancer was one that most will not survive but he was very positive and thought he would defeat his cancer, sadly he was wrong. He was not only a great player but also a great coach who made Barcelona the biggest club of the world for years.
He also did his best with the Johan Cruijff foundation to help young people and handicapped youths to play soccer, he and his foundation have over 200 Cruijff courts (all over the world) where street kids can go and play soccer.
He will be missed and as an Ajax supporter, he will be missed as the greatest Ajacied ever.
