ESPN fires Mike Ditka for calling Obama worst president

He only repeated what was being said behind the scenes.

And you know this how? Because OxyContin Rush said so?

surely you have something, anything to substantiate this? I'll wait.

Having already been barraged with thousands of negative e-mail messages on the
matter,5 ESPN had to do something. They had Countdown anchor Chris Berman,
whom the network described as a “self-described New England Democrat,” hold a
news conference. His main message was that he didn’t think “Rush was malicious in
intent or in tone.” “As cut and dry as it seems in print,” ESPN’s star announcer
explained, “I didn’t think so when it went by my ears.” Berman went on to say that
the network was sorry to have upset McNabb “in the middle of his travails” and reiterated
that he didn’t think Limbaugh’s comment “was meant the way it came out. I
don’t think that defines the way Rush feels about people.” Limbaugh himself had a
similar message on his nationally syndicated radio talk show on Wednesday. “My
comments this past Sunday were directed at the media and were not racially motivated.”
“This is such a mountain out of a mole hill,” he told his listeners. “There’s
no racism here. There’s no racist intent whatsoever.”

There quite a lot but, I'm sure you'll add the liberal slant.

I used to work for ESPN. They allow no independent thought at all, even in Information Technology. Reporting a bug was a major act of disloyalty to your manager.

Isn't it odd though that Stephen A. Smith is still employed, a known race baiter? ESPN had no problem getting rid Colin Cowherd - although he already stated he was going to leave before he made his comments that led to his termination.

It is a poor workman who blames his tools.

Whatever. He did quite well with the little he had to work with. All I am saying is imagine if he had the list that Eli Manning has had through the years; Victor Cruz, Plaxico Burress, Odell Beckham, Amani Toomer, Hakeem Nicks, David Tyree and Mario Manningham, Kevin Boss and Jeremy Shockey.

We'll have to disagree. I think Eli made those receivers better at least as much as they helped him.
